Cap guy lying/distancing self

So I met this amazing capricorn man.. we have so much in common. We literally texted all day every day for a few days then met in person and I spent the night with him. Like a couple days later he told me that his phone company didn't take the money out of his account but he would message me while on wifi. He has every day still texted me at least a good morning or goodnight and a text here or there in the middle of the day. I've been not initiating every contact but sometimes I do if I was happening to be thinking about him. But he is totally lying about the phone thing because he still is on his social media all the time. Not that I am looking but I use messenger alot to text and always see him on! I don't mind but I think it's silly to lie about something like that?? And we were having some really intense conversations like we both feel like we have known each other forever. He's told me to be patient with him. In person we were all smiles and very physical and laughing together. I met his 3 kids and he met 1 of mine. I asked him if I did anything wrong and he said God no. He still calls me beautiful, love, and says he misses me and our chats. What is going on with this guy?! He is a Cap Sun/Sag Moon/Taurus rising.

If he has WiFi and a tablet that would allow him to be on social media without having his phone.
