I have a weird one. It may have a perfectly reasonable answer to it but it fucked me up. In Ireland, there are a lot of very old abandoned houses. When I was about 15, me and my friend went through this phase of finding old houses and trying to gather info on who lived there etc (we thought we were little detectives). We went out one time and brought her little brother (he was about 10) and we found this very old house, it was so old but all the furniture was still in the house. It was like whoever lived there had just got up and left one day, or died and nobody collected the stuff. It was just really eery, old shopping lists, notes etc. But there were also jars of fuck knows what and kinda witchy markings on the wall. We freaked ourselves out a bit and we were like fuck this, let's go. When we left, right in front of the door was a dead lamb, we definitely hadn't seen it going in. It was sliced clean in half and the back end was gone, it was also fairly fresh. I don't know if we all truely heard something or if we were just in that head space already but we all started screaming and just bolted. We just kept running and running, I think we were afraid to stop.

Very good story

I found this way out in the woods while hiking back in 2020. I really wish I would have marked the gps location so I could come back during the other seasons. I tried to find it again a few times, but can't seem to locate it.

Bruh wtf.

You ever find some weird shit when you're pulling up old carpets and floor boards? My family tore down an old homestead our ancestors built and found a bunch of old new paper articles in the wall, I imagine some people find some shit.

I’ve played with Ouija a lot in my mid-late teens and have had several unexplainable, what I believe to be paranormal experiences in 2 houses I’ve lived in as well as a graveyard. My sister who I’ve played with had separate experiences of her own in those houses.

We contacted a spirit in a graveyard who identified herself as ā€œMeg Mayā€ and had a crow squawking at us which was sitting on a grave labeled ā€œM.M.ā€ and she legit blew all of the candles out we had lit at the same time, no wind at the time. Sounds like a scene from a predictable horror movie when I type it

We contacted a spirit in my childhood home named Sam and I think he followed us from house to house. I quit piano lessons because we lived in a house where I just couldn’t be downstairs because it felt ā€œwrongā€. That same house had strong energy bursts of activity when we lived there like once a large picture frame dropped off the wall at the same time that a cabinet slammed in the kitchen. Multiple things would happen at once like that but it was not too frequent. The person that bought that house after was a non believer in paranormal but claimed to hear footsteps all the time when no one else was in the house.

I had been touched multiple times in my sisters house after waking up having an extreme anxiety, doom feeling in the middle of the night. One time my hair pulled and another time, I had sensed something bad and had like… pressure on both sides of me, as if someone was holding down both sides of the blanket around me. I laid there frozen til I had the courage to try to get up and run out of the house and went to a friends. I thought whatever was holding me down was stronger than me so I was too terrified to move for some time. I woke up almost every night between 3-4am with uneasy feelings. I don’t like to be at my sisters house, I think she has the attachment from our Oujia communications.

There's this one show that I watch sometimes but I try to stay away from it because it feels spooky somehow. It's where a psychic medium investigates haunted place and separately, a former detective tries to uncover the history of the place to substantiate her claims. So... She says a bunch of scary stuff including seeing ghosts, evil people, demons etc.

One time in the summer, I was binge watching it late at night. The window was open and all of a sudden, I hear a rustling noise, maybe a struggle and then sounds of a hurt or alarmed animal. I thought it was a bird at first but birds weren't usually awake at that time. So then I figured, maybe a raccoon. But there's never much wildlife in my backyard, just the usual rabbits and they'd gotten pretty big by then so cats definitely don't hunt them. The animal was hurt by something... I don't know what. That freaked me out and I stopped watching that show for extended periods.

If I hear about demons, I just know absolutely that I won't be protected against them. I mean... Anyway.

Also, I was house sitting recently and there's a front camera. On Halloween, this shadow went across the camera. Could've been a fly, could've been something else, could've been my bitch attitude escaping from the bathroom, idk

I think of it constantly, but never have. I've left one or two tools on some framing in a shower for example, and borded it all up before I realized it. So 50+ years from now someone might find my primitive tools behind a wall lol. I mostly work in new construction, but can only imagine what people flipping homes find in old houses. I'll be honest, a few flippers we work for I metal detect in the yards a bit, and find all kinds of coins and artifacts from the late 1800s, to early 1900s. That is the type of stuff I live for!

Not scary, but spooky, and the event led to the dissolution of a company jointly owned by my (now ex) husband and my hometown neighbour.

Husband and I lived abroad. One day we returned to my hometown, to see my parents. The stay was over, and we had plans to take the train to the capital and fly from there. My parents came with us to the train station. Since we arrived well in advance, we spent some time chatting through the half-open window. After they left, I chatted to a woman who sat opposite me in the train compartment.

The time for departure came and went, but to our surprise, the train didn’t leave! After moments of confusion, we found out that we were in the wrong train: this one was leaving in two hours, too late to catch the flight! My husband's company quickly provided a car and driver. We were about to leave town, when the car broke down! It got eventually mended, and we were driven for several hours. Sadly, it was a few minutes too late: our plane was taking off.

We had to return to my hometown. On the way back, the driver delivered a bombshell: that my former neighbour was lying, cheating and living a life of luxury by stealing money from the company! Once we arrived, husband got the accounts verified and discovered that the driver told us the truth. Soon after, their company was dissolved.

So my parents and I were wondering later on what led to this unexpected discovery…..

It was obviously the fact that we got into the wrong train!

Mum: How come it took you so long to realise it was the wrong one? Didn’t you see that the train remained empty?

Me: But mum, there was a woman in our compartment. She reassured me that the train was the right one! If it wasn’t for her, my alarm bells would have rung.

Mum: A woman...? What woman? I haven’t seen anyone! Calling my dad: "Was there a woman with them?"

Dad: No way! Where was she sitting?

Me: Opposite me....at the window, lol!

Dad: I could clearly see your husband next to you through the window...but no one else was in there!

Mum suggested that the woman was the ghost of someone who was bullied by my neighbour in her lifetime (he was a nasty piece of work) and took revenge on him from the other side!

Another one....not too scary, but spooky

A few strange events happened when my grandmother died. Two decades later, almost the same events happened when my father died.

Firstly, I became seriously depressed, about a week before their death. Nothing unusual when I knew that my father was very ill. However, in my grandma's case, I had no idea she was unwell. And I don't usually get depressed.

One day I went to bed feeling sad, but the next morning I woke up with a feeling of very intense happiness and peace. Found out that my grandma died that day, during early hours. Two decades later, my father was sick, 2000 miles away, and I woke up with the same--totally inappropriate--feeling of relief and happiness! It didn't last long, since I remembered it from the last time and knew instinctively what it meant....moments later, a phone call was announcing my father's death....

I went to my grandma's house soon after she died and slept in her bed. I woke up that night with the feeling that something was watching me. I saw a white mist, the size of a human body, near my bed. I felt something like aborted panic, because I realised I could be looking at my grandma's ghost, but there is no way she would do me any harm! Exactly the same thing happened two decades later, after my father's funeral.

People I told about these events were confused about the moments of intense happiness preceding both my grandma's and my father's death. One way to explain them, is that I was feeling what they did when (or soon after?) they died, because of the spiritual connection between us. Are people happy immediately after they die? Nobody knows, however those who came back from near-death experiences seem to think so.
