Who did what on this project?
We discussed the concept of what route to go, basically gave each other a mini outline of what we wanted to come up with and convey and how to put it together. Agreed on what we wanted to do. I have power point at work so I put it together, would send her updates for feedback and of course spell check cause i cant spell. Converted it to the video and i was having issues attaching it as a file. she suggested youtube and then we wanted to add music and who doesn't love Sax music lol

The song that was added we both agreed on, after bouncing it back in forth. did that answer your question?
As soon as I listened to it, I thought of you. For some reason sax music makes me think of you, maybe I saw in a thread somewhere about you and the saxophone. 😄 Well, done btw!

haha thanks. TBH the careless whispers jazz song was a nod @tarureye/Deadpoop and the user harassment was a nod @Brianafay, the spanish models was of course @UVD, there are a few other things that are for specific peeps lol

Hippie, you began posting your grade as each ad was presented and stopped, why?

UVD, why did you feel the need to compare the ads to determine your grade for each one?
Because I liked being able to wait for all of them and then compare. At first I thought I had to grade it and move on to the next after I posted the grade.

I wanted to be able to compare how much effort was put into it along with how effective the propaganda ads would be as a while and how creative they were.

Hmph. I think your first choice of grading each ad based on the criteria that was laid out was more appropriate given the fact you weren't asked to determine the best ad out of the 4, but what grade they deserved based on the criteria laid out by the host. Not the same thing.

UVD, why did you make the choice to see all of the ads before grading?
It helps me to understand at what level i'm allowed to nitpick

if everyone was at say a lower level of professionalism for example or if everyone just didn't have time and put crap together, i'd have to be more lenient.
Okay, that speaks to each ad themselves.

Did you compare any of the ads against each other and use that to determine your grades?

That's what I did--i compared them to eachother so i could put them in order of effort/getting their point across clearly

Okay. Similar to my response to Hippie, I think comparing the ads to each other influenced your decision and you were not asked to do that. Simply provide a grade based on the criteria laid out by the host. Each on their own merit.

That’s true. But it didn’t change the grade for the first one I saw after seeing the rest of them. And I screen shotted the 3 I could and looked at them again and again to determine if I would click on it or watch it. I was still going by the ads individually. Not by who made them or which was the absolute best. But the whole point was to determine which two I felt were the best as a Judge.

Ok. I’m not going to ask you all questions and am just going to state the ratings.

Fortuna and Ellesbelles - C

I lol’ed but it had nothing to do with subscribing and wasn’t an advertisement at all. I realize you both were busy, but more effort still could have been made.

Nikki and Scruffles - B The ad was really funny and creative, although it may not actually make people subscribe. But it’s click bait and was done in a way that would make people who actually like dxp, want to know what it’s about and probably look into it.

XoxFlute and JustAGirl - A

It was well thought out, extremely creative, funny and was the best executed advertisement.

ArkanSassy and Sierra - B

This was hard because it’s really funny. And like Nikki and Scruffles ad, it would definitely make people click on the other site to check it out. If I could give it a B minus I would because it probably didn’t take as much time, but I don’t think I can do that.

Okay that is all.
Cool.. So again, punished because all we had was a phone although ours was actually propaganda.

Got it

I gave you and Sierra a B, just like Nikki and Scruffles

@arkansassy Naw not just about politics. Yes i'm doing the copy/paste thing again, shoot me.

Propaganda is information that is not objective and is used primarily to influence an audience and further an agenda, often by presenting facts selectively to encourage a particular synthesis or perception, or using loaded language to produce an emotional rather than a rational response to the information that is presented.

Where does that mention advertising? Apparently that's how entries were judged

i think we interpreted it the way each team thought it up, Nights has to answer your questions for you, but just because politics wasn't used doesn't mean the rest of us didn't meet the challenge he outlined.

But this is what is on page 1 : For todays challenge you will have over 8 hours to come up with a concept for propaganda. This concept must be either a reason for a person to subscribe to DXP or a reason against subscribing to DXP. You are mostly getting judged on your reasoning. They could be real reasons, sarcastic reasons, witty reasons, etc. And you can present this propaganda in writing, in a poster, in a pamphlet, in a video, a vocaroo advertisement, or whatever you wish.

We get to an apprentice challenge.

But first we need to get to the audience vote. Yesterdays votes were both for advantages tho there is a condition with the second one.

The first ADVANTAGE: This person will not be known publicly. They will get to cancel 3 peoples votes tonight when the elimination vote happens. The 3 people will not know they are cancellled, but their vote tonight will not count.

The second ADVANTAGE is these 2 individuals get to be judges in todays challenge. There will be 4 teams of 2 and the judges must choose which 2 teams did the best. These two teams get safety tonight.

However these two people picked as judges will be graded separately by the audience tonight. If these judges get a passing grade for grading fairly, they too will be safe from elimination. If they get a failing grade, the audience will choose who's judgment they got wrong and that person will be safe from the vote tonight instead of the judge or judges. Hopefully mr. fairplay himself @Tiziani will be around to grade the judges tonight.

The two judges picked were

You are to send your done project to me and I will then post in on the thread.

NOTE: THERE IS A TWIST IN THE VOTE TONIGHT

I will not reveal this twist until after both the judges picks and the audience assessment

I will reveal the 4 teams shortly
Only see one mention of advertising

Indeed, it is one of the options. But not the only option. Looks to me like the judges graded based on advertising and ignored this point - "a concept for propaganda" - which can be anything besides advertising.
