They don't appear anywhere spacific really, they just appear on the screen around your location on a GPS and where ever your camara is pointing is where the pokemon will be. I was just going to post what the fuck is Pokémon go. So I read up an article I guess there's criminals waiting in these areas to rob people so be careful

Obvously the world is fucked up, but truthfully the more people walking around the better. You basically walk around your town looking for pokemon and hitting up places called poke stops. Pokestops are actual points of interest in your town. You also level up as you play, and once you get to level 5 you can chose a team (yellow blue or red) and you can battle gyms. Once level 5 You can claim a gym after you pick a team, and to claim a gym you leave a pokemon there. Other players who picked the same color can also leave pokemon to back you up, essentially making the gym your teams color. Other players from the other 2 teams can battle Your gym, and try to claim it for themselves however. The more gyms you leave pokemon at, the more free stuff you get from the store. I'll add you can buy some stuff with real money, but you don't have too because you actually get lots of items from visiting the pokestops.
Lastly about pokestops, they reset every 5 minutes so you can keep getting items all day! These items are mainly pokeballs, which you use to catch pokemon, and potions which you use to heal your pokemon if they lose a gym battle. You can also get pokemon eggs, which hatch over time as you walk, inscents which lure pokemon near you, and thes module things which make a pokestop glow with pink flowers, which lures pokemon like inscents except other people can also belifit from it so lots of peope gather around when you use one. Its bizzar af to use one then seen about 10 people show up lol.

Yes, you actually have to leave and explore irl to play lol. Its such a crazy concept, but great at the same time.
As for the pokestops, I'll use an example. There's a place in my town that has a gargoyle on the roof. When I get close to the store I can see the gargoyle appear on my phone in a little circle along with a description. I spin the circle with my finger and then it spits outfree stuff lol. Maily pokeballs, potions, and eggs. Then I could use a module item on that pokestop if I wanted, and petals will fall around it. This means lots of pokemon will appear aroun it, and other people playing can see it and benefit from it also.
Pokemon are all over the place. Depending on type also. Like more water pokemon will spawn around water, and so on.
As for the gym, I haven't trained enough to beat any in my town yet, so I'm just going by what I read. I do know for a fact you can leave a pokemon ( which you obvously want it to be really strong and trained) and other people who picked your team color can leave a pokemon there as well. Also the pokemon you leave will appear on a piller, which everyone can see, and if they click on The gym they can see your player and whatever you named your player. I might have forgot to add you get to customize a male or female character when you start the game.

I want Vulpix so badly!
(the baby fox Pokemon that breathes fire). she's so adorable! my all time favorite.
I just started yesterday when I went with some friends to a Harry Potter bar crawl and the taste of Chicago. fun! but I don't want to get too consumed with it.
it does take a lot of walking. lmao. and it's fun because you really do meet a lot of new people. I met quite a few new people when in Chicago and we'd be like "Pokemon go?" "yeah what level are you" etc etc. a weird way for our generation to connect, but it's working, LOL

It's great lol. I never really go anywhere except The couch after work, but here I am at the mall and eager to explore.
Actually there's a gym inside the mall too!
I play. Haven't found anything that exciting yet. I've already walked more since this app came out than I have in the past 3 months. I think I'll get over it quickly though. The hype will fade. There is a pokestop right across from one of my work places so I can sit there and farm it all day. Gunna put a lure there today and see if anyone shows up. Haha.

Just wish the damn app would stop having all these issues...every time I put it in battery saver mode I have to restart it because I can't move the screen afterwards. Kind of ridiculous.
I chased a Likitung for like 3 miles at 11pm last night. I got to the woodline and wanted to go back in there so bad, but I forgot a flashlight and I knew the cops would be showing up to see why I'm sneaking around at 11 at night any moment lol.
There is a graveyard in my town with like 6 stops around it. By time you reach the last one the first one resets, so you can just keep walking and collecting balls all day. Only around to people showed up, and the cops had to come see what all the hype was about. Its getting crazy.

Like the small mall close to me has a ton of pokemon, but no stops or gyms. The big mall an hour away has a few stops and a gym, but not a single pokemon. I also went to graveryard hoping there will be ghost pokemon there..
Somehow, there was ghost nearby by the Elderly/retirement home. 😐 Although I did caught Venomoth there. 😛

I heard that its taking people to weird areas. Like one person was lead to a methadone lab, and there's pokemon outside of a hells angels meetup spot. The Whitehouse is apparently a gym and people are trying to hop the fence to get pokemon lol
Imo the more humans out in the actual world and seeing things for themselves is 100 times better then sitting alone, isolating yourself, and being lied to by the media.

ppl getting robbed of their smartphones bc they aren't paying attention AND u need a very new phone to play the game (my phone 3 is apparently too out of date for the game). So if u can play it, ur phone must fetch good $ $ $ .

I've seen so much hate for it on my instagram timeline and I dont understand why. People who obviously never grew up with Pokemon, I still have Pokemon Stadium on N64. Then theres the ones who say its a spying tool for the government, then they hate on it because its distracting from real world issues. I think it's awesome, I'm playing and I wont be stopping. I had a stressful week and it relaxed me, it gets you out walking, out of your own head and you dont have to look at your phone 24/7 so it doesnt have to be so distracting (your phone vibrates when a pokemon is close by anyway). Exercise releases those good endorphins so its bound to make people feel good playing it. I love it.
I think Its great. The world can't fall into complete darkness of there are people out in it seeing it and watching it.
I've met new people, made friends, had lots of laughs and fun, and discovered much about my town. People can say what ever they want about it. Maybe they don't understand or get the right image, but for me it's changing my opinion on people, and the world in general.
I'm extremely thankful for this gift from Nintendo.

Things got a bit weird the other day. A fiend and myself decided to take over a valor gym when a car pulled up. It was 2 valor defending the gym. We kept trying to take it over for like 10 minutes when all of a sudden literally 5 vehicles pulled in and surrounded my truck. I wasn't really worried, because they all looked like high schoolers so my friend and I kept going. Fuck that, I'm not getting chased off by a bunch of kids! My biggest concern was them fucking with my vehicle, which luckily didn't happen. We finally took over the gym even with all those valor there, then drove off. They took other back over obvously, but we still took it over lol,

I'll just say this, the game is insane. I went to the mall with a friend, only there were dozens of others doing the same thing. People anywhere from age 10 to 30. Everywhere I look there's a person walking with their phones out. Even all around my town there are people with phones out everywhere, which I've never seen anything like it. So If your older and didn't grow up pokemon, and don't understand why all these young people and kids are going nuts it's because of Pokemon Go
