Im excited about a new job, and my boss is a Gemini Sun, Virgo moon man.

Anything I should I expect from him?

____

I knew he was a Gem before my interview due to some social media stalking (lol) but honestly I didn't think much of it. Gem's are probably my least favorite sign TBH, but I had no expectation of him before I met him.

In the interview he came off very earthy and like a simple guy, although I know he is very successful. So I pegged him as an earth moon, AND I figured he was either a cancer or taurus mercury. Well did some further digging after the interview and found out that he has that virgo moon and taurus mercury (yas).

I think this will help me relate to him better. I also just got a good vibe from him.

___

Ive read this combo (earth + moon) can make for a temperamental person. Is this true? Gemini's are so surprising to me, I never know what face you guys will have.

From the things he said I knew he liked me from the interview but he wanted me to talk to some other employees first. Finally I got the job. He seems excited to have me on board. I don't start for another few weeks. Oh and it will be him and I working closely, as really there is no one else on this "team". He is the BOSS.

Overall I have a good feeling about this new direction. Id just like to get some astrological insight on what to expect from him!

I once worked for a Gemini manager. he was aight. never once had no run ins with him. if I was into astrology back then I would certainly get his placements. all I know he's a June 1st Gemini. even if I just knew what year he was born that would help me out. I wouldn't know how they are as bosses. I'm a boss and as a Gemini boss, I'm easy going and let everybody do their own thing. they grown and was working for me long enough to not need me over their shoulders pointing out things. can't say that for all Gemini bosses tho.
you're a Gemini boss?

Ok, cool. I do have some problem with authority lol (aries midheaven) and i haven't had the best luck with boss's in the past.. although they have all been women. Women in the workplace don't seem to be my source of luck so I'm counting on this. I like to be able to do my thing, to a certain extent, and thats what I could see happening with him. He will also be traveling a lot so I think that will be more of a positive as I won't feel like I have someone breathing down my back all the time lol.

I did read as well that Gem bosses like to be kept in communication. As a sign of strong communication, you like frequent updates and stuff. Is this true? To what extent? I sometimes can just go off doing my thing and not update my boss.. not on purpose, but again just maybe my problem with authority and liking to do my thing. He made it clear that although he will not be physically around all the time he will probably talk to me everyday.

don't feel bad. I haven't had the best of luck with bosses myself. I once wanted to take one of my bosses out back and fight him. never happened. certainly as a sign of strong communication I like to have updates. if any one of my employees need to take a day off for whatever reason let me know in advance. I'm hardly ever around. I be home most of the time. when I do come around I'll pitch in and help out. I'm not the kind of boss to just boss people around and not get my hands dirty too. I just don't have any bossy placements. hell I even treat my peeps to dinner or pizza if they do a good job without no complaints from the clients.

That is reasonable, and something I know I will need to do as well since I will not see him often. Just keeping him in the loop.

Thats nice of you. My gem boss-to-be also told me he treats his employees nicely and that he thinks its important to be nice to the people you work with. That was music to my ears, especially my libra placements!

I had a Gem boss once. He was smart, very intelligent and yes he wanted to be updated as much as possible. He's not my boss anymore but we do get in touch and have lunch from time to time. I then had an Aries boss. We didn't start off that great, but now I see him as a second father. He retired, but he still helps me out with issues I have and advises me when I have issues at work. I now have a Pisces female boss. I never hated anyone in my life until she stepped in. We call her witch. She's a nasty old lady. My worst encounters were with female bosses. Too emotional and they take everything and their coworkers too personal. Im not a fan of female bosses. A Gem boss is alright and pretty laid back and understanding when you explain things clearly. They can be perfectionists, but they can be very understanding and patient if things didn't go that well.
Yeah female bosses, and I think watery ones can be the most bitcy. I am a pretty upfront person who just stays to myself and doesn't like to gossip. I have thought about it, I don't know if I come off intimidating to females at work, but it could just be my midheaven. I had a "supervisor" for a year who was a scorp with cancer moon. She was a straight up moody nightmare. And it wasn't just me, my virgo male coworker even said so. I just had less patience than him.

Thanks for your insight. I expect him to be a bit of a perfectionist and intelligent, due to the gem virgo combo. I was on top of everything in the interview and super prepared so I think he really liked that. I'll just really have to step up!

The manager of my department is a gem. When I first started, he was second in command, and we couldn't stand each other. Everyone was afraid of him because he was a little tyrant that would always scream and freak out for nothing. The first(and only) time he screamed at me, I pulled him in the office and told him that I would appreciate that he spoke to me in private if he had any issues. That was it. He sulked and ignored me for about six months but never screamed at me again.

Fast forward two years and he is first in command. He has also become my favorite person to work with. He still screams and rants at people but he and I laugh and joke all shift.

This guy is short.....really really short.

I noticed that short managers tend to be tyrants.

Lmao. Gotta make up for it.

This libra I knew his Scorpio wife controlled his household from the way he would speak to her when she called him at work. He had to make up for that at work

I think you'll be alright with him. Gemini men can be pretty laid back. just don't take any advantage of him. gems are smart so you can't beat around the bush with them. as easy going as I am I still had to let a couple people go some years ago for refusing to do their job and back lip. yeah it hurt me more than it hurt them. I know people need their job.

Awesome and well noted.

I'm usually very well behaved.. I have been known to beat around the bush on very rare occasions mostly bc I've missed deadlines but otherwise I take my stuff seriously. one thing I also hated in my past position is having to depend on my coworkers to finish a project. In this case it seems like it will be all on me which overall I think is positive. I think this will go well too.

It's interesting this subject came up as my Libra is dealing with loads of problems with a Gemini boss currently. I've experienced two Gemini bosses (both women) and they were equally problematic. The first is the one my bf is dealing with (former employer) and the second was a woman who was my manager for a few months. She had mega mood swings and could be unpredictable at times. She was very good at managing in general and was professional and passionate but when she was unbalanced she would just turn on everybody in her path. She also seemed to need loads of attention and reassurance of her role from me which became draining. At one point she became a little obsessive with wanting to come to my house and checking out my fb which freaked me out. She showed her insecurities but on the other hand, great within her role and supported her team well.

The boss my bf is dealing with is behaving strange towards him. I feel she likes him but is tied between her professional and personal head. A few days ago she was trying to gaslight his ass and today she's all up close and personal with him, not giving him space and asking about what cologne he's wearing and wanting to know about his home life. She's old and lonely though and has loads of personal problems at home so it could be that flowing into her work.

I would say they have many sides to them that you will eventually meet. Get ready for the ride!

Ha! Well that has been my personal experience with gems - too many sides and just sometimes to much scartteresness. I worked with 2 gems before once a cap moon who I liked at first but later realized he was lazy and another was a female with a cancer moon. Now THAT was too much crazy for me.

As a fixed dominant I dislike being around people who are flaky or all over the place. All the time.

He fact that this boss had some earth placement gave me a little relief bc I feel they may make him more "stable"

Do you know the other placements of your ex bosses? Yesterday I was just looking more into my boss-to-be'd placements and he has gem Venus and Leo mars. I think that mars placement may be something significant. Looking into I'd say it's what has made him successful so I'm sure I'll be seeing more of it.
