Stupid things you do/did after a Break Up

Breaking up is not a very good feeling, some people do stupid things trying to rescue the relationship or feelings they thought are still there. I once stood outside her house the whole night with a bouquet of roses begging and hoping for her to come back just to see her walking out with her new man. Thinking back, that was just horribly stupid!
What stupid things will you do or ever did after a break up?

Yeah, that WAS pretty fucking stupid and sappy. HaHa! However, the worst thing that I've done was to sleep with the ex after she became the "ex". Nothing good can cum from that. 😉 Are you trying to create a scale for your own "stupidity" by asking this question (I know, it sounds P-"Evilish"?) 🙂

It makes sense to me that a Scorpio would measure a relationship based on sex and emotion. Trust me when I tell you..... Gemini's don't see it that way, my friend. But, from your point of view, I can see why you'd say that. Spit it! Where you at in your life, Scorpio when it comes to YOUR exes?

That's cool and all. But, are you Gemini? Better yet, who are you? Who sent ya? More importantly, tell us something about you, aight?

Didn't think there were so many rules to follow before you ask a question in dxpnet. Oh well, just another random soul who stumble upon dxpnet, a gemini who got dumped by his ex taurus few weeks ago.

Hrmm.. well if i do the dumping then I wont look back... for a few years and then maybe be friends with them again (as im friends with most of my x's)

If I get dumped and I still had strong feelings for them then I would want to know all the "why's" of their breakup etc and then if i wasnt happy with THEIR reasons, i would try to twist/manipulate the situation to make them get back with me and then either i'd break up with them down the line or stay with them if things continued the same and/or got better.

Hmm.. even if they had valid reasons and i really loved them i would tell them that id change etc etc pretty much suck up their ass to get back with me. If after trying and promising to make changes etc they said no then id be like sweet. later.

And i'd move on & fast.

Although i will admit I cant STAND being broken up with. It bruises me ego way too much.

Yea we will come back I mean like i said im friends with most of my x's and we hang out here and there BUT everytime i've come back its NOT to re kindle the love or relationship.. its simply FRIENDSHIP and thats where people get confused. Because we're friendly and flirty our x's might automatically think we want them back.

I don't base it off the sex, although it is very important to me. I'm capable of going through very long dry spells. I do require the emotions to be there and for both of us to be open about them.

However, once it's over, I'm capable of seperating those emotions from the sex. I've had sex with all of my ex's (except for one) after a breakup at least once, some I still do on occasion. And I'm still good friends with them all, except that one.

Seriously though. What does "breakup" mean? Think about that term for a second. How would you define it?

Stupidest thing I've done after a break-up was last week. I ended the relationship due to distance and him being controlling and manipulative. I foolishly thought one last night would be fun since I would be in his town and we had a 22 year history. He ruined it before I even got there so I went to a bar with girlfriends instead. When I walked out there he was standing and waiting. So my one last night ended up being him drunk and crying about how he never wants to see me again. I held my tongue and didn't point out the obvious that he was following me and begged me to come to his house. He waivered between 'I never want to see you again' and then pointing to the bed and proclaiming that was my side of the bed and I need to be there every night. I got kinda scared and didn't say much except I understand. He kept saying I have a wall up and wont let him in or open up and why did I just stand there calm. I thought we were clear on the break-up and it was understood that this was one night. I left as soon as he passed out from his Vodka induced stupor.

So yeah, KoL I am a Gemini and I went back. I realized it was a mistake and one I will never repeat. My Ex is a fellow Libra of yours....

A break-up to me means I wont be taking that persons wishes into consideration any longer. I wont go out of my way for them, do the little things i did just to bring them a smile. Nor will I share anything on a deep level, if we come in contact it will be surface level. If I love them, they will still have a place in my heart and I will still sometimes let my mind drift with thoughts of them.

Gosh I am a posting freak today lol. But I needed to make a correction to my last post. I said I wont take my exs wishes into consideration. I was wrong in that. My ex husband and I have a daughter together. He is a fantastic father and in all things regarding our child I take his wishes into consideration. He is the only man I have ever had a relationship with that didn't stifle me and try and become controlling. He understands me more than anyone. In return, he gets my complete admiration and respect and his wishes will always trump any other man in my daughters life.

Hmmmm now that I see that in black and white, maybe I should take my ex up on his invite for a date. He's a Leo but has never had an overly large ego or controlling with me.

Would consider your suggestion. As someone who rekindled an old flame recently, I would be careful and see if any of the old issues can be resolved. If not,...

Do suggest a book that delves into this subject. Made me realise I was not alone with my decision to revisit an ex. This is Nancy Kalish's book called 'Lost Love Rekindled'.

Am seriously considering it! We really got along well and our only issue was his exwife who stalked me and made my life hell. I am older and hopefully wiser now and better equipted to deal with her. Although not much to deal with as my ex has put her on no-contact expect for emergencies involving their child.

I did the same. It was angry sex though and I ended up crying. Go figure. Guess I'm not as tough about sex when it comes to an ex I really cherished.

dumbest thing ever did after a break up - handmade him a photo album with all our sweet memories in it, left it in his apartment (still got keys), and getting his new girlfriend's number, called and scolded her for breaking our relationship

It's just dumb and stupppiidddd! 😢

I cant stand to be dumped..i try all the ways to manipulate them into getting back and then i play them like they where worth nothing.Or just keep it sweet a little while and then dump them.
