Leo and social media/ what (if anything) does it mean if they don't ever start a conversation

I've been given to understand (from this forum, profiles etc) that Leo is forthright and outgoing- does this mean that if they're never the one to initiate contact online they either hate you or are completely indifferent towards you? Or is what I've seen on numerous online 'profiles' accurate, i.e. that Leo isn't really that fussed about social media/ DMs (will probably use it, sure, but not be super into it like a lot of others)? Perhaps that's just something I would be happy to believe given the alternative...

Also, with this in mind, given what the Leo experts here know about the sign, would a simple 'Happy New Year' message (to show both that I'm still alive and wishing them happiness) be OK, or is that a no-no with Leos? Thanks all!

I barely text unless it's for business reasons. Texting is often inefficient and irritating for me. I feel that people put way too much unnecessary weight and meaning into texts. When I'm online I only message my close friends because it's an easy way for me to keep in contact with them.

That being said, unless I'm communicating with a friend I rarely initiate contact online as I prefer to initiate contact in person (or over the phone). However I understand that some people have their own preferences for communication. So I won't ignore someone if they choose to message me.

To answer your question, it's completely fine if you message him. Just don't expect a big reaction from it.
