So many of us have experienced being treated poorly by a mate. then we learn our value. No man/woman can diminish your value without your participation.
What's your value?

Amen! Hallelu!

Value in yourself.
we already know we sometimes place too much value in others and less in ourselves. A friend said to me the other day when I expressed disappointment that the aqua dude didnt want to date me cus we live an hour apart....
"You're sitting on a GOLD MIND....YOU! Know your value".
Meaning, I am a great catch, which even the aqua said so himself, and if I value myself as such, so will others. And the right man WILL drive an hour to see me.

knowing your own value is crucial but you have to be sure you don't overestimate your worth too cos then you've cross over to the other extreme from self-deprecation to arrogance. be realistic about your value lest you price yourself out of the market altogether, lol.
one thing is for sure though. you don't find your value in someone else.

I'm definitely going to quote a guy that I've been talking to.. but just it hit me, hard - and knocked some sense into me. For some background, I had told him what my ex fiance responded with and added 'Wow... I'm pathetic. I never sound that pathetic, ever.'
Him: 'Don't. Be. Pathetic. You're a strong woman. Be a strong woman. This man is not your world. Respect yourself.'
Having somebody actually express that to me that was in a place outside my head.. really helped me begin to find the rhythm in my stride - REAL quickly too.

An hour?? That's nothing! Gosh, what does he expect? For you to magically fall from the sky onto his boner?
If that's the REAL reason, which I don't know if I buy because he either is lying or places too low a value on love for a catch such as yourself to even concern a moment's thought about him, keep on keepin' on, chica.
Love sees no distance. End of story.
Hmmm.. I think everyone has gifts. As far as relationships go, I guess it's just finding someone who has the gifts you value and that you have the gifts they value and you are both committed to smoothin' out the rough edges. But when you find the right person, the smoothin' isn't much of a chore cause you want to do it.
