Libras and the evergoing MIRRORING effect!!!

I am amazed at how LIBRA is the one sign that does the most mirroring...

It's starting to freak me out...I've realized how my moods, attitudes and energy levels are constantly being mirrored to me by Libras around me especially men!!!

I mean what triggers that in you guys...

Would you say that your ability to mirror one's behaviour, feelings, emotions comes from an hyper-sensitivity factor!?!?

I am always mirroring peoples behaviour (not purposely, i just treat people how they treat me) then they have the cheek to say im the one playing games! they played them first 😛

We are trying to show u something that we don't like, we just sometimes don't have the heart to tell u.

Hmmm, well I'm a Gemini and I do the mirroring thing. I do treat people the way they treat me - not always though lol. However, I do have the 50-50 balance.

it's just what we do. there are a lot of our tendencies that i understand and could explain, but this one i really can't. no idea. how a person presents themselves doesn't usually matter, though. libra reflects what's in a person's soul, not their facade.

it's also worth noting that libras tend to get along well with other libras, regardless of personal differences or different tastes, or even majorly different planetary influence. if the suns are in libra, 2 people will almost always get along great. which i think at least shows that libras are naturally very pleasant creatures, since we are always so nice when mirroring one another.

geminis totally don't mirror in the sense that libras do. they can copy behaviors and body language and accents and stuff (quite well, i might add), but they don't present people with a mirror image of their deepest darkest selves the way libras do.

So Op what is wrong with it—

you are treated exactly the way you treat someone else...if you dont like it change and it will change too 🙂

They do more than mirror you,they go a step further. If you are cold with them, they will freeze you out.

I love that libras do that! They make things fair! Which is great as a sag cause they treat others the way they want to be treated.

Good for you sweety,i personally finds it fustrating. Its abit like "anything you can do,i can do better,i can do anything better than you,no you cant,yes i can,no you cant!!"

I hold up a big mirror that instantly reflects what the person says back at them, so they can see themselves clearly.

Been thinking more about this, and i think this is why i really dislike some people while i am "mirroring" they bring out a side of me that i really dislike and it makes me not want to be around those people.

I dislike them because of the way they make ME act not because of how THEY act. There behaviour doeanst really bother me because people can and will act however they like but i hate being bought down to another persons level. I think thats why i tend to dislike woman (obviously not all just most 🙂 ) they bring out a bitchyness in me that i dont like. Much prefer being with men.

lol i rather male company too. Less bitchyness. However i find a certain libra guy spiteful.

totally with you. i don't dislike very many people, but i've avoided people because i didn't like how i acted around them.

when i was younger, i prefered males too, but as i've gotten older it's evened out. guys can be bitchy too. they just do it differently. girls talk more shit, but guys will lie and act all passive aggressive. plus, no matter what a guy says, he's probably just hanging around hoping to get laid.

I've recently started getting close to a lovely Libra boy I've known for years.
He mirrors 100% !!! I love it though, and of course he is his own gorgeous person too...
It's not like it's all reflection but yeah I really like it because all my lovey feelings and sweet words get reciprocated and it just gets better and better 🙂

I mirror the shit out of people. Bitches get bitch. Nice, kind people get nice and kind. Sometimes i do the "kill 'em with kindness" thing if they're super awful but that's because I have to channel the energy into something better because I really hate being too awful.

Balance problems.

..........Maybe this is why some social situations can be so uncomfortable for us.

Random example, Libra has an awful, rude, stupid idiot for a boss. Libra's natural response is to mirror but.. can't be awful, rude, stupid idiot back because, bills, family to support, career, etc. Good thing we're so talented at faking it.

We have to go against our natural inclination to mirror and be "fake" in some situations.

I've noticed I'm usually relaxed around laid back people, rather nervous around tense or anxious people
I easily get into power struggles with bossy personalities etc. and naturally it's easier to (re)connect to my core self in my alone time

luckily, I have a SAG ascendant and a fixed mercury to keep the mirrorring tendencies in check

I think it comes from wanting to make people feel comfortable. For instance, if someone tells me something really deep about themselves, I feel compelled to tell them something personal too, or at least tell them I've experienced something similar so that they don't feel too exposed or vulnerable.

I'm reading this thread with great interest; I kind of knew I did this, but it's fascinating to read the variety of reasons why you all believe we do this. When I mirror someone, personally, it's either because I want to fit in or make the other person feel at ease. I can be just as comfortable in ripped jeans at a dive bar drinking beer and sneaking a cigarette as I can in a cocktail dress sipping champagne while using big words at a gala. I don't feel that I'm being fake in any of these vastly different situations. I just like drawing in the energy of the ambience, and really getting to know people. The best way to really learn a person's story is to make yourself their equal, and sometimes that involves mirroring. I find it makes people very comfortable in my presence, and I don't have a very hard time getting almost anyone to talk to me.

I think the reason some perceive it as fake is because they don't understand what it's like to truly be as versatile as air (typically) is (with exception to aqua, who is the least versatile.)

I am certainly more versatile than simply mirroring others. And it isn't as if I am faking it. If someone is rude to me, it pisses me off so I want to give it right back to them. If they're nice, it makes me want to be nice. My mirroring is completely genuine. And in fact my tolerance for my husband being in a bad mood, for example is much higher than for others. I try to counteract his bad mood with love and graciousness first.i try my hardest and then if it doesn't work I will maybe resort to mirroring to show him that he's being ridiculous. (Just a random example.)

I'm also highly empathetic and intuitive. I pick up on the energies around me immediately. Perhaps that makes tge difference.

I find myself matching other peoples "level" I call it.. It's like a way to identify with how they are thinking/receiving at the time but usually only if I am trying to get a point across that I want them to absorb or if I'm trying to empathize. But I also notice that for me personally.. I think my mars gemini has something to do with it too. I'm a Libra MOON however, and when I see it happening with me I notice my personality change in order to balance the energies around. I might be saucy and firey if everyone else is too opposite, but only enough to bring up the people around me slightly, and if everyones too high and I'm a little low then I can easily fix my mood to that of the group. I find it annoying at times but also helpful. I know exactly the extent that you mean with a Sun libra though, it's very obvious. They are just very agreeable, and even though they arent mutable I feel that because they are Air their attitude towards things can give off that changeability.

To me the 12th can involve hidden emotions, thoughts, intentions. Hidden enemies is said to be a thing but not necessarily automatic in my opinion. Anyone care to elaborate? We are close. 🙂 I don't think I've mentioned before but my Libra Asc is something between 27-28 degrees. Since astrologers generally write horoscopes based on what "solar" houses planets are in I find Scorpio daily, monthly horoscopes very relatable regarding themes and energies etc.
