I gave up fantasizing about weddings. Only time I fell into that was getting over a breakup with an ex crying in the fetal position like "I would have given her everything!!" 😛

But even then the only wedding I picture would be on a beach out in nowhere island with no witnesses. Just us two.

the one i met on eharmony? the cancer man? we are doing really well. he met my close friends and some family members, and i have met his parents. his mom is big in to astrology and the occult too, shes a cancer! she fed me yummy mushrooms [not drugs] , dad is a libra, his two other brothers is a pisces and a virgo. which is ironic because my two brothers also share the same signs. we have been getting very close and spending as much time as we can with each other, what with out busy schedules. he just came back from a business trip, his company honored him for helping out during the marathon bombings. pretty cool

my cat likes to sleep on me, OVERLY AFFECTIONATE CAT! I think I spoiled him too much as a kitten lol. When he starts whining I'll just pretend I can't hear him then he gets all emo.

They should be eating wet food mostly anyway. Cats weren't meant to be on a high carb diet, tbh. I've got the current ones on wet food because they're lazy and got fat off the high carb/no activity thing going on.

Looking back, had I known my kitty was going to have kidney issues (should have known bc she was so picky with how she drank water, plus the dry food *sigh*), I would have given her nothing but wet food. They can get most of their hydration from that, and overall, it's better for them.

Wet food isn't really a "treat" it's kind of a necessity. Splitting wet and dry food isn't a bad idea either. I have mine on wet only so they'll lose weight.

It does, but it's better than crazy vet bills down the road, too.

HAHA I'm SOOO going to turn out like you. When the time's right, I envision getting one golden retriever puppy then pick up other golden's that need homes due to circumstances.

@Rocky, My dad got her a can today. Can you be more specific about the problems it could cause? If I can make a solid case, then maybe they'll switch to wet food. However, we're adopting my grandmother's cat so it's going to make it less likely that they'll listen to me.

@VH You haven't missed much. A fight club thread that has a lot of drama, dimplez's thread, dxp matchmaker, which members do you confuse with each other etc etc.

I already explained it.

Cats are carnivores. They aren't meant to eat dry food. Dry food is a carb. Wet food is protein. Carnivores eat protein, not carbs. Weight issues can be a problem. It can also be rough on the kidneys if they don't get adequate amounts of water. That was the issue I had with mine since she was so finicky about drinking water from a bowl.

Other issues are UTI or diabetes.

It's like saying that people who get off of junk food will be healthier. Same applies to cats/dogs.

If it's any help, there are the large cans of friskies wet food for a dollar each. It'd last awhile longer as opposed to those tiny cans. Not the most amazing food out there, but it's better than tons o dry.

It doesn't have to be pure wet food, you can always mix the two as well, or do one meal dry and the rest wet.

@curiousluv today I was reminded that I am the champion connect four player of the world when I played for around an hour and a half. My sagittarius best friend made it her mission to beat me.

I used to LOVE my connect four. WOW I haven't played in years!! You go girl!! 🙂
