1. In the creative side of my first career, my writing and designs were localized for France, Spain, Germany, and Japan. I picked up a few things from the translators 😄
2. My first roommate was a Japanese-American gal who helped with a few things so I could better work with aforementioned translators.

@_@ I met him at the library when I reunited with my friend of-five years ago. I was with my friends, the friend brought his friends too-including the guy I'm currently crushing on. So the six of us hung out at the library, then we went to play Target Tag!(A game invented by one of my Sagittarius friends). And it was just a lot of fun 😄. And then we kept running into each other and then I did his chart 🙂. He's just quirky, funny, nice, he listens, I don't feel like I'm being played, and it's fun to be around him. Hah, you read my writings well then 🙂 Hmm, personally I would say both types of mothering are closely intertwined, one could rarely exist without the other, for there is always an intent, working on the psychological level. Then there is active and passive-aggressive mothering, in which case I should assume no woman should do either, truly for the long-run. Being affectionate, accommodating to a degree, compromising...all of these may trigger a response that may remind one of home/thus mother but never BE the mother. For heaven's sake, we want to be their woman, and possibly wife (for some people), raising ones' own children is enough of a handful, but a grown up one too. Dear lord, save those women indeed!

A few thoughts.
The whole dominance/submission dynamic is fascinating and multi-faceted. I'm not going to go near the overtly sexual dimension, here. And I am not going to go into the D/s life style . Let me confine myself to the less exciting topic of the vanilla, day-to-day relationship.
Within my experience, women who say that they want to be dominated _usually_ do not want to be dominated. They want drama. They want the trappings, the role-play, but not the substance. In fact, they are the ones most likely to become resentful, and in short order you have a full-blown rebellion on your hands. I do not have time for that.
You can recognize a woman who really wants and expects you to be dominant right out of the gate. If you need me to explain this to you, then I'm sorry. You don't get it, and if you're much over 25, you probably never will.
The women I have been involved with have consistently wanted me to make the decisions. I'm fine with that, and it's in my essential nature to do so. But I am smart enough to ask for her input (or at least to give her the opportunity) and to actually listen to what she has to say. I make that very clear at the start, but I also make it clear that the discussion will not go on forever. A decision will be made.
Another side of this is living with the consequences.
In both my personal and professional lives, I've had to make quite a few decisions, and thank God for military and legal training. Some decisions have been good, some not so good, and some have been catastrophic. But it's on me. It was my decision, credit or blame. And I'll take that. But if someone agreed that I was the one to make the decision and gave me that responsibility, then do NOT fault me for making the decision in the first place.
