What is law of attraction?

I know of it from the movie The Secret (2006)

from wikipedia: "the Law of Attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, people can bring positive or negative experiences into their life. The belief is based on the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from 'pure energy', and that through the process of 'like energy attracting like energy' a person can improve their own health, wealth, and personal relationships."

That sounds too complicated for me :p

Thank you for the explanation (:

Yes because if you understand quantum physics you’d understand how it works.

have u ever use it and succeed? and how?

I use it everyday. I write down what I want and I focus on what I want and I speak positive thoughts and I get what I want. Could be big or small.

I also believe the law of attraction coincides with faith and I’ve been relying on faith all of my life because of my beliefs.

So for me it’s easy to make sense of it all.

It’s all energy.

Can u attract a specific person or job?or is more about keep positive and change ur mindset. U attract it by energy or by being clear about what moves you have to take to succeed just because u are more focused? It's about your change of actions or is sth more metaphysical?

I recently did a LOA ritual for our son to find a new home near his college....his requests were very specific in a highly competitive, cut throat market. He wrote down exactly what he wanted and I lit a green candle every day until it burned down. On the last day of lighting, he was offered a home and it was exactly what he asked for .... and more

It works 🌟

It’s for people who like chasing objects (which includes person/place/thing.) It’s a dead end because it keeps one in the object gathering game, among other things, and because it reinforces the conditioning that causes one to live according to one’s likes and dislikes, which is one of the primary causes of suffering.

You’ll notice that Life will deliver objects to you at roughly the same rate if you’re simply confident and execute on a plan. However, we’re ultimately not in control of objects and the fruits of our actions aren’t up to us.

To be fair, if you’re all about running toward likes and running away from your dislikes, then this “Law” - along with many other techniques in the New Age/pop spirituality marketplace - will help you to continue chasing things. At some point, however, you’ll need to ask yourself whether attempting to extract joy from objects continuously is making you happy or making you suffer in the long run.

sounds like shopaholics, where u go out shopping to get your "fix"... the chasing objects

temporary fixes.

or drugs. lol

That isn't what LOA is, it's about attracting what you ask for in life. If you don't get it, you're not meant to

Simple concept really 😊

Yes, but the key is not caring about the outcome. Which is extremely hard for most. You have to literally set intention, believe and RELEASE!!!!

With any magick, it's important to add "if this is for my higher good", if you don't, it can backfire

Good point. I started making Sigils recently. I should incorporate that.

Then this Law doesn’t have anything to do with what you ask for. Attracting what you ask for in life, yet if you’re not meant to get it, you won’t get it. Then there is no Law that requires your involvement, just a force beyond you that decides. Hence, there is no Law of Attraction that you can control, so it’s pointless to even give the matter any attention.

You seem to be over analysing it and complicating it......for me it's just like praying and having faith

You either believe it or you don't

It’s a lot of bullshit, but if you want objects it’s a technique as good as any other.

What’s your alternative? What about abstract desires such as happiness and self confidence? I believe it equally works for these wants that people have because it allows them to tune in to a frequency where in they experience this.

You either believe it or you don't

So pray and have faith. No need to cook up and market a “Law” around it and masquerade it as something *other than* simple faith and prayer. But this shit sells, especially with the word “Law” in front of it.

And if you like it, enjoy it and use it! Get the most out of it. It’s just that someone asked what folks thought of it, and I answered with something like it’s nonsense that in the long run is even damaging, and I gave reasons. I’m dismissive of nearly *all* such pop-spiritually, and I have no qualms with saying exactly why.

....and I answered that I believe in it

You don't, I do.....
