I tell people that all the time and agree with it 100% .

What am I gonna do? Eat a burger and enjoy it for 10 mins? Or not eat the burger and enjoy my fierce body and all the clothes that look good on me?

Option 2 plz.
I eat the burger minus a few things that some people find "important", plus some things that some people find are more fattening, enjoy the burger and still stay thin. No more exercise than walking. It's a doable thing.

Depends on the metabolism. I already screwed mine up in HS. But to be honest I don't feel like I'm missing out on much. I indulge very rarely and don't even like it much. If you get full before you get a chance to get hungry or get cravings you don't have much of a problem with wanting bread and stuff

Actually it doesn't really depend in metabolism. I'm hypothyroid so my metabolism is pretty much shot. I do take meds, but I have to eliminate a good deal of food that people consider "healthy" to keep my body from destroying itself. The right balance of fats, animal protein, and vegetables is all you need.

Not just for weight but to keep healthy.

I'll occasionally have some potatoes or bread, but it's rare.

I still struggle with the potatoes.. but it's getting better 🙂

White sweet potatoes and mashed cauliflower with butter. 🙂

TY! will try those.. been switching towards a more low carb eating pattern.. but still havent found the right nitch for me.
I stumbled on an outrageously yummy AIP hash that I've been eating for lunch the last few weeks. I'm trimming down pretty quickly. You can PM me if you're interested.

What's AIP?

Autoimmune Protocol. It's a variation of Paleo that eliminates certain Paleo friendly food to stop inflammation and to identify food sensitivities. Ideally you do the elimination phase for 30-60 days and then reintroduce in a very regimented way. Ultimately you end up with a modified version of the diet which is more lkle Paleo but rest4icts foods that you reacted to during the reintro phase.

It's very strict. I'm not doing it, but I'm pretty close already.

Would anti inflammatory diets agemax you better?

Sure would, Hoss. 😄

Yeah I remember reading that in an agemax book

Are you allowed coffee?

Coffee and Tea aren't allowed on AIP but I drink organic coffee, just one cup in the morning with heavy cream and a little splenda (no dairy or artificial sweeteners including stevia are allowed). I used to LIVE on coffee.

What are your thoughts on this saying?

Do you think it's dangerous?

Do you think that it's worse than "love your body no matter what"?

Does the positive body image of overweight people contribute to harmful eating habits much like body shaming does?

Can anyone honestly deny that losing excess weight makes (s)he feel better about her/himself?

Do you approve or disapprove of the images of overweight people with a plethora of supportive comments telling her that she's beautiful?

Is that better than the likes and heart-eye emojis that uber skinny girls get on their photos?

Discuss.

I've always had high metabolism so I'm prone to being skinny. I've had to forcefully eat more, drink muscle milk, Sprint instead of run long distance and use weight training JUST to look healthy.

And it is a shame that I even care. But it's on both sides of the spectrum - some want more weight others want to shed it.

Will we ever be satisfied with our bodies or has society ruined that?

Everything in the media is an extreme.

Keeping your body at a reasonable weight for

YOUR OWN body type is imperative, but the

bullshit slogans are just that, and typically a

mindf**k, to boot.

It amazes me how few people consider how weight looks so differently on different body frames.

Right?

It goes further than just appearance.

Friend of mine has a daughter who is 5'11.

My little brother (6'3) -- his jaw dropped looking

at a pic of her (fbook, bikini lol)... she is

perfection.

However, when she joined the military, they told

her that according to the BMI scale, she was

obese... OBESE!

She wasn't even a little chubby... it was absurd.

😐

How tall is you?

I am trying to shoot for a 23ish bmi

Is 5' 2 (and a half)

23 is good according to the scale

It doesn't take bone structure into account

though or sex :/

I was, but I got my A1c and insulin down to safe levels my last test a year ago. I'm going tomorrow to see if it's stayed there.

It's very common with Hashi's and also when you're on T3.
