i can't be the only one who thinks doing laundry is cozy.
doing chores around the house in a slow, quiet, mindful way instead of just rushing through them or thinking “ugh why do i gotta do these tedious chores” can be therapeutic.
whenever i’m feeling unenthusiastic/not up to doing a chore, i try to think to myself, “how lucky am i that i even have a washing machine that allows me to have clean clothes to wear? some people (third world countries, the homeless etc) have to wear dirty clothes day in and day out cuz they don’t have the luxury of a washing machine.”
or when i gotta do dishes i try to remind myself “how lucky am i to even have dishes to wash— some people don’t even have food to eat therefore don’t even have dishes to wash.”
turning your “ugh why do i gotta do these tedious chores” into moments of gratefulness really changes things. i know it’s kinda corny but it gives you a better perspective on things lol

Sadly, that is very true! The craftsmanship is slowly disappearing & the pride people once took in their work along with it! I think the consumerism as a way of life we've been sold isn't helping the matter either. And while my personal eastahetic leans towards California craftsman, I most certainly have great appreciation for the artistry of bygone eras. Those are some impressive homes with character!

Kyoto, when I went there last fall
When I went through my decluttering phase last year I got rid of tons of crap and have little urge to decorate seasonally anymore. Can't be bothered.
With the exception of keeping a few fav pieces at the str and decorating for guests.
I do enjoy Cozy K on youtube. Living vicariously through her crafts and seasonal decorating

Kyoto, when I went there last fall
kyoto is really on another level during fall season 🙌 so picturesque
hope you also got to enjoy some of the tea shops serving traditional japanese tea and sweets 🙂 and matcha soft serve ice cream too lol they got plenty of those too

me too. i got rid of all the tacky decorations i bought on a whim from the dollar store and stuff (cheap looking pumpkins with excessive glitter on them, skeletons that are all bent out of shape etc lol) and only kept the decent quality, timeless ones from home decor stores like fall table cloths, fall cushion covers, fall blankets etc.
your house will look fall-like enough if you use fall colors like mustard yellow, brown, orange, wine red etc
basically the colors of the leaves lol
i watch cozy k too lol 😂

I did. 😄 Stumbled upon one that day. Had tea with sweets and facing a quiet garden. 😄
starbucks just came out with new fall beverages for 2025:
they got a “caramelized pear frappe” (i guess pear is considered a fall fruit?)
and they got a sweet potato mousse latte (i dunno but japan has an obsession with sweet potato and chestnut during the fall)
and they got the chocolate mousse hazelnut latte that comes out during the fall (they had it last year too)
last year they had these desserts:
pumpkin basque cheese cake on the top right (they have it this year too).
and this Jabba the Hut looking chestnut Mont Blanc lol 😂 (Jabba the hut from Star Wars 😅)
and sweet potato chiffon cake and custard apple pie.
this year they have a pumpkin scone and caramelized pear black tea cake and donut with sweet potato filling:
i love those beautiful fall colors. “moss mist” “crimson blaze” “maple spice” “amber glow” all sound fancy lol and cute poem too!

starbucks fall menu mini review following my starbucks post above:
chocolate mousse hazelnut latte was so freaking good i was like wtf. the pumpkin basque cheesecake and the sweet potato cake were delectable too. (last year’s pics)
i apologize for the foodie posts 😂 i’m a taurus venus and food is pretty much life 😂 if you guys have pics of food you had in the fall, pls post ‘em lol 😅

i was kinda curious so i did a little research.
apparently they only burned witches in europe (scotland, germany, switzerland etc). in salem, they were either hanged or pressed to death which was also gruesome but yeah only in europe did they burn them.

That guitar pumpkin phone case is awesome but there's two things wrong with it
1 you'll have to keep it even when Halloween season is over like all year round
2 I'm not a fan of Halloween nor autumn season. I'm a winter kind of guy so I like to have anything winter-wise

It's AuSable river located in the Upper part of Lower Michigan peninsula. Say that twice! LoL

winter is really beautiful in a way that time seems to kinda stand still and the world seems a little quieter when freshly fallen snow covers everything from trees to rooftops to lawns, cars etc there’s something really calming about watching snow fall gently outside your window and you’re in the house all snuggled up with a warm drink in hand lol😆👍

AuSable? that sounds french lol i just googled “michigan fall” and fell in love 😆🍂looks like an amazing place to go hiking, camping, even canoeing since there’s a peaceful lake too !

It is in fact French! Many places/locations, particularly in the Michigan's upper peninsula, are predominantly named in French or native Ojibwe language. It started off with French fur traders after which they established sattlements around straits of Mackinac around 1670's. Then Brits came & messed everything up 😅 Omg I feel like I'm pimping Michigan out to ppl lol
Mackinac Island in fall....
Fun fact, Michigan boasts longest shoreline of all the US states!
