Posted by GetMistedPosted by VirgoreanOBJ (a fav of mine being he's an SEC boy) is hit or miss (also why I traded him off for Bell mid season). Shepard has been seeing a lot of targets in the 2nd half of the season and out scoring OBJ in FF points per week. Imo.. WR2 tends to perform better when the matchups are tough. Packers 2ndary is weak and they're gonna have to put our best CB on OBJ with over the top help, leaving Sterling wide open. Same happens to Jordy who will be covered by Rogers-crom. Expect Adams and Cook to get most targets in the RZ and Allison deep.Posted by GetMisted
So.. After 1st place finish ( $ 400) and a crappy 4th place finish in my yahoo leagues, I'm playing in the Champions of Champions Tourny.
Here's my line up for this weekend:
QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB: Le'Veon Bell
RB: Zach Zenner
WR: Davante Adams
WR: Golden Tate
WR: Sterling Shepard
TE: C.J. Fiedorowicz
FLEX: Kenny Stills
DEF/S: Texans
Gotta win the $ 40k yo
For someone who talks smack about the Giants...Couldn't pick a better receiver? 😉
Plus.. I'd rather spend my allotted money on a stud QB and RB.
Not to mention.. Zenner and Tate will slice and dice Seattle's line and flat.click to expand

Posted by GetMistedYes, we have no rush offense. If we rush we'll gain 3 at most. If Eli passes, it gets intercepted. He is about as frustrating as the fans of the heart attack packs lol.Posted by VirgoreanAgain.. I'm not denying OBJ of his stud status. He's one of my favs. When he gets the ball.. he's electric. I don't see his emotions as a downfall.Posted by GetMistedPosted by VirgoreanOBJ (a fav of mine being he's an SEC boy) is hit or miss (also why I traded him off for Bell mid season). There's a lot of potential in Shepard, but no where in comparison to OBJ. Understandable since he is a rookie. Stats wise, he is scoring more yards on average than OBJ this season so I give him that. Last game OBJ made some pretty impressive catches. He's hit or miss based on his hot temper which drives me up the wall because it can affect game play. He has been doing well where Eli coaches his temper down. I noticed their synastry the last few games.
Speaking of your secondary...
http://nypost.com/2017/01/04/sterling-shepard-boldly-opines-how-giants-can-exploit-packers/
And yea your team is running thin. I heard you lost Rollins also, sorry to hear.
Everyone is too focused on OBJ anyway when they should be worried about Landon Collins on the defensive side. Don't take this kid too lightly because he's a rookie. He is already proving his worth.
The downfall resides in the fact that the Giants cannot effectively run the ball. And with Matthews back at LB, expect Packers pass rush to pressure Eli into big mistakes. They will get to him. Either a sack/fumble or more than one INT will come from Eli. What good is OBJ/Sterling against a horrible secondary when Eli can't get the ball out of his hands quick enough?
I don't under estimate Collins either. If Rodgers wasn't such a threat while scrabbling, I'd be worried about him and Rodgers-Cromartie. With that being said.. I expect Rodgers to have close to 50 on the ground.
We'll see.. It's gonna be a good game. I'll take Packers to cover in the final minutes with Rodgers scrambling and finding Adams in the endzone.

Posted by tizianiThat sucks. I wonder if it really is mental. Cuz theres no reason the BJs should be gettin trounced atm by the Capitals who have not been offenses geniuses as of late

Posted by tizianiyeah they seem up there in the standings.
Spurs in the Premier League are really the equivalent of the Maple Leafs. Not always in terms of scoring (and they defend well) but really young team, bringing youth players through, signing unknown youth from lower obscure leagues and a coach who's hellbent on being the hardest working team in the league, hustling for the ball constantly. Really nice football when the opposition isn't ready for it, because they're ruthless with defending, getting the ball back and then passing through the opposition like a hot knife through butter.
They used to be laughable but the last 3-4 season they're good to watch.

Posted by tizianiThat is Toronto almost 110%
Liverpool might be a better equivalent. Their attack is scary.... seriously scarily good football. But they cannot defend AT ALL.

Posted by tizianiouch on the relegatedPosted by AfternoonDelights22LOL Lazio are seriously a despicable club. Their roots with fascism... jeez seriously you don't want to know.Posted by tizianiyeah they seem up there in the standings.

spurs sound more like the blue jackets as they are the youngest team in the league nd have a coach now who has a rep for being a bit much. I personally think he is over rated but he's clearly proving me wrong this season as they should not being doing what they are doing.
And there's a long running gag that Spurs manage to mess it up every season and fall behind local North London rivals Arsenal each season. Last season Spurs were second almost right until the end, where they dropped points and finished 3rd..... with Arsenal finishing 2nd on the last day of the league lol

Then last year he was banned from Italian tv and his highlights show taken off air because he was sporting new fascist tattoos on the show.
I actually liked him as a player, he was magic with the ball. And he had this nutcase moment with a referee that everyone loved. But in the last decade he's just gotten madder and madder

There was even a lot of hoopla here with Leicester City. It made a pretty big splash with the main stream media.
That just seemed to be the way sports went in 2016. Leicester pulling off the impossible. Cavs finally winning for Cleveland. Cubs winning the world series after a century
I honestly don't think I'll ever see something like Leicester winning the league again in my lifetime. It was the longest of long shots.
And even mentally by February until the end of May, everyone was just waiting for them to implode and have a meltdown but they stood firm.

The annoying thing is they always come undone against the small teams at the bottom. Because they're just unprofessional mentally. A classic case of a team that always plays to the level of their opposition. You'll see Roma take down the biggest clubs in Europe then fall to the smallest team in Italy at home, in the same week.
That's why Juve win. They're just a machine. They turn up to every game with no arrogance, just there to get the result and the points. Whereas Roma need the drama and the chaos to perform. If they hadn't messed up 3 or so games they should have won in the first half of this season they'd be ahead, even with the loss to Juve away.
We'll see.

Posted by tizianiPosted by VirgoreanCompared to here? Of course. I lived just off Miami Beach with my family. But that was a long time ago, way before even Bal Harbour became what it is today. My uncle and his family are still there in Orlando, with bears casually strolling through to pay a visit to their front and back yard every now and then. We have nothing like that here. I'm moving to Italy where there are vipers everywhere and that's not a big deal to Italians but it's still 100 times more risque than anything that goes on here.Posted by tizianiI normally have great memory, even for the littlest and sometimes random details, but right now it's failing me.Posted by VirgoreanPosted by tizianiInteresting, how did you find out?
