I know I share here because there is no consequence. I share what I want, when I want with no fear.
Sharing with non strangers involves letting people know what is going on in my life and then they start measuring and asking questions and telling cousins and talking about you behind your back.....and most people closest to me don't have a single clue about anything in my.life and I like it like that. I get entertained at the stories they make up because I'm so private.
Here...I don't care.
There's a difference in sharing and verifiable exaggerations.
I think for the people that do it. They are just dreaming out loud and wishing they had more of an exciting life.

I can’t remember where I heard this, but I once heard it’s easy to fall in love online because your mind fills in the blanks of things you don’t know about the person you’re pursuing (i.e. since you don’t date them IRL, you obviously don’t know everything about them regarding body language, daily routine, etc. so your mind just comes up with fantasies as to how that person is in regards to those unknowns).
I imagine it’s the same when people get online to call each other liars: their imaginations fill in the blanks they don’t see of the accused person (especially if the accused only shows bits and pieces of their life).

I did it when I first joined DXP, but I'm not sure why I felt the need to do so with strangers on the internet.
From homemade crab legs..
To credit cards with $ 100,000 credit limits..
To made up volunteer positions..
To having that one friend that seems to have experienced every situation presented on DXP..
Why? And what placements are most notorious for doing so?

I've known @Wild_flo and she is the sweetest. I've talked with her off DXP and I don't see any reason to think she would betray or burn you at all. She's pretty upfront, if you can't tell. She also gets hurt pretty easily by things but she will tall you about that as well. I have nothing bad to say EVER about her.
I don't hang out with her since we are in a different state. But you shouldn't place your friendship or experience with her based on previous people.
Also a lot depends on how shady you are with someone (Not saying you are)
Your friendship is on an individual basis, getting info about her from other dxp members, most likely won't help you much because it will be based on your interactions with her. She is super cute and a great friend, from my experience.
