finally football is back again. so i wanna know who else is a fan and who u are going for.

me, im a jets fan. i was born in ny so thats my team since i was a kid. i dont really root for any florida teams and i hate the dolphins. im kinda excited this year because i got tickets to the jets-dolphins game in miami. im really looking foward to that weekend, the tickets were really expensive but the seats are like nine rows from the field.

Yeah... If I don't pretend to be a pats fan, they'll hurt me.

then i guess there really gonna be mad when the jets win the division.lol

I have always like the jets but I must go with the home team, RAMS they will suck this year but so what.

yes it was a great game sunday, any win is a great game.lol
i really do like the team this year, the offense is put together very well. curtis martin was my concern but he made me a believer and i hope he has that kind of energy all season.
the defense is very improved. the line and linebackers are solid. the weak point is the secoundary. as the season goes on they will get better with experience. edwards and henderson will bring the rookies up to speed.

were not getting much coverage now but after we start 3-0, people are gonna start to realize what kind of team we have.

sorry about the panthers freebird, the season just began so theres plenty of time to get it together.

rams 1-0. its a good start jake.

Its going to be a long season. I will still be a fan when we are 1 and 15.

I expect an ass stomping by atlanta sunday.

Thanks cj7...Farve did an awesome job so... Greenbay deserved to win. Not sure how our season will pan out with Smith being down. Hmmmm perhaps this is an opportunity for someone else to shine. We will see 🙂

I used to watch the Jets many, many years ago...hey, do you remember the Dolphins when Warfied, Kick and Zonka were playing? If I am not mistaken wasn't that Underwear guy playing for the Jet's—? You remember his name.....

Absolutely Parallax...those guys were great players by far...do you remember Terry Metcalf #21 who played for the St. Louis Cardinals— What an awesome running back he was. He would receive the ball and run the whole field thru every player in his way and score a touch down...I so enjoyed watching him run....I had my dad take me to the airport once after an away game - I met Terry and asked if I could have his socks..gave me a whimsical look and said, "sure..happy wearing!" Memeories...so much fun. Thanks for sharing yours and yes, it was Joe who did what I thought were some underwear ads...why did he do a pantyhose commercial? did men wear those in those days?

I wore the socks to bed.....

Did you know that Terry's son, Eric also #21 played for the Panthers not too long ago? He was not as good as his dad...there is only ONE Terry Metcalf!!!

Do men wear Hanes? If so, what for? Do you? How are your legs looking these days?

Terry ended up in canada playing, Jim Heart is the athletic director at SIU. Those were great years for the cards but still no shot at a ring, I went to the game sunday both st louis and arizona looked bad.

i don't follow much of any sprots.

Boxer-briefs are my favorite kind of man-undies. They're the best. Boxers are fine, but I really like the look of boxer-briefs. And I want any man who wears a thong to stay miles away from me. lol...

Hey Phoenix Rising and Freebird, how come guys like us in the thong things so much—I have quite a few guy friends that say thay like women in them. And why is it that women are suposed to look great in them, while guys just dont seem to pull it off very well— Oh I dont know, what do you think? And I have to agree with you Phoenix about the boxer brief thing that would be my choice also. Are you paying attention out there all you guys to what we like to see you in?? finally, the week ive been waiting for.....jets-dolphins.

gonna try and go fishing in the keys saturday on a charter and sunday im gonna watch the jets disgrace the dolphins in person. 🙂...... priceless

it was a great game parallax, miami's defense was pretty stingy but so was ours thankfully. two years ago when we lost down there the dolphin fans were horrible, this year it was an extremely quiet walk to the truck.🙂

actually i think they play the last game of the season jake.

They do play the last game. I will be there lord willing and the creek don't rise. I was thinking super bowl. I went to the one in New orleans. never ever buy your tickets from the team. I have season tickets good seats 40 yard line section 139 row D. They drew my seats for super bowl tickets, &800.00 for two seats we were in nose bleed. when the clouds parted you could see soom of the game. It sucked we lost. Marks treetrunked it up.

Another thing while I am at it. Our x quarterback doesn't seem to be doing to bad with the giants. Perhaps it is marks who is the problem and not Warner. Another thing wrong with my team what this butter of fat ass pace showing up without going to camp and we put him right in and how many yards has he cost us being off sides or what ever, Dont get me started.

Parallax: thank you (this is your *official* thank you!) for explaining football to me in such a clear, un-condescending manner. 🙂 I actually still find it somewhat complicated (not your explanation - the game itself), but I'm sure that if I were to sit down and try to watch a game, it would all come together for me. I remember playing something like "capture the flag" football in grade school...we couldn't play real football because it was our entire class and the boys weren't allowed to tackle the girls. lol. I remember being confused then, too, about the rules. lol. I think it's the numbers that get me...the ten yards, the first down, the points, etc.One question...what is snapping? Is that a.k.a throwing?

thank you 13 this has added a lot to the football discussion. Rams beat the jets in overtime, both went to the play offs. Both won I think the rams can beat atlanta this weekend. can the jets beat the steelers?

it all depends on pennington. if he plays well they definitly have a shot. he played his worst game of the year against the steelers last time and they still were tied at 3-3 through most of the third quarter. he through three interceptions that day. thats hard to get past.
so yes its possible, will it happen? i have no idea. 🙂

Rams & Jets superbowl? what ever you do do not buy your tickets from the jets or rams. I spent $ 800.00 for seats in New Orlines top of the dome it sucked.

it would be nice to get to the superbowl.....but ill at least take knocking off pittsburgh as a consolation prize.lol

i went to the kansas city/jacksonville game this year, it onlt takes me 2 hrs to get up there. if the jets make it and i dont get a ticket ill be right outside.lol
