I think in the usa gun laws are to soft. I think it's time tougher measures should be put in place. To many kids, adults have been murdered because nutters can buy guns far to easy. What do you think about this?

Maybe I did answer my own question but I wanted to know what other users think about the gun issues.
I know their will be a lot of Americans who don't want gun laws enforced to protect themselfs. I just think the only people who should have guns is the police.

^^That^^ is what is defined as a "false sense of security". Where were all the police with guns when 5 & 6 year olds were being blown away in Connecticut? How about the movie theater, and all the other mass shootings? Maybe if a new technology of beaming a cop in within seconds to protect us that statement would give us warm secure fuzzies. Because a few seconds is all it takes for someone who deliberately wants to kill kids and adults. Not to be confused with adults who wish to protect themselves and their children from someone like that.

The problem with this Gun "Debate" is that people do not want to face reality or deal with the real issues.
And it's usually the issue behind gun violence. People not dealing with issues at the time it needed to be addressed.
Therefore when the issue reaches it's threshold it ends in violence.

Gun's don't shoot themselves.
Mental illness is a serious issue.
And sweeping it under the rug in favor of focusing on the item used is putting a band-aid on a gaping wound.

Why don't we have mental illness awareness drives like we do Cancer awareness. Where are the runs/walks, celebrity televised fundraiser, Jerri's Kids where are you? Mental Illness is not the money maker that Cancer is. Cancer is a multibillion dollar designer disease. Mental Illness is the crazy kid brother or wacky aunt people are ashamed of. You can't get rich off of that one with your fake non-profit.

The Supreme Court has spoken. We the people have a right to own firearms!

Yes, control the guns!
Guns dont have a place in a civilized society. I guess that explains the gun trend in USA. People are not civilized.

Most gun owners in America are law abiding citizens.

We should have had Firearm education many many years ago.
This country dropped the ball on that one.
America has a problem with violence period.
There are a multitude of issues that need to be addressed in order to curb American violence.

nah for me its a sign..........they are using guns to kill alot of people at one time they could use bombs, poison etc but they favour guns....so to me its a sign if i was the government, i would take it as my duty to protect the people........heaps of people have mental illness and plot killing ppl giving them guns wont help thats just stupid

I think everyone should be packing!!!

Responsibility, education, training and practice make all the difference.

If guns kill people, how does anyone get out of a gun show alive? 😛

Guns are banned in my country thats, why there aint many shootings yes there are some.
The Usa people are far to gun crazy, even learning people how to use guns in wrong because that person who owns the gun could became more dangerous.

whats if you get into a fight with a neighbour do you go get your gun and blow his head off? To many people in the America have died as a result of a guns, people dont get a sh..t about all the lives that have been ripped apart as a result of gun deaths. present obama aint got know backbone one otherwise he would install tougher measures to people stop buying guns so easy.

I think guns should be outlawed totally otherwise it will happen time and time again, you and will have learned nothing.
It happened before Obama came into office nothing was done then and nothing will be done until the people hand their weapons into a police department.
You can protect yourself in many different ways other than weapons.

Well, there are other ways to skin a cat, ya know. Take the gun, they'll find another way to off someone.
You want to take away cars, ropes, knives, fertilizer (for bombs), rocks, scissors, plastic bags (smothering), etc.

Gun control isn't the answer to the problem. The criminals will always find a way to have them and people will always find a way to kill each other. Things were much more brutal in the middle ages - before guns existed.

guns are ban here except fior a few like me who own a shotgun for vermen like Q you need a linceen here and must go through a lot to own a gun and have a reason. Wish I was in the U.S. then I could deploy nukes.
