For one thing, a lot of people tend to lump all Asians together. We are not all the same.

So let's start with speaking about Chinese only, as they are the first Asians to hit American soil. Their immigration here started by the gold rush in the 1850s. Communist China isn't a joke. They treat their own citizens even now like absolute shit. Any information that comes out even now is to be looked at as a grain of salt because they control media and everything like no other.

When gold became more scarce they were targeted with special foreigner taxes on gold, and forced out of that by legislative power and laws. So they began doing low wage labor. Still a better life then in China. By 1870 there was enough anti chinese that immigration was suspended with the support of the Chinese Emperor because he didnt want his people escaping his own damn country since most that went to the US were tradesmen looking for a better life than that of China. But then by 1882 the Chinese Exclusion Act came into play that banned any Chinese immigration or naturalization as well. Which followed other acts that banned asian women from immigrating.

None of this was repelled until 1952. So until then, no Asian was allowed or afforded to just come over, and those that were here were massacred, and not even allowed to be citizens. And legislators wanted them out. But for those that came, this mistreatment was still 100 times better than what they had in China.

There were only about 350,000 thousand of Asians in the US until the 1950s when those laws were repelled. You did not see a boom in Asian immigration until the 1960s. And that is due to wars in Asia. And the little populace that was here, fought for equal rights in terms of employment. And they were systematically driven out of areas by laws that specifically targeted Asians up until 1950.

Now if you want to talk about South East Asians that includes Vietnamese, Thai, Hmong, Laos, Burmese, and Cambodian. Than you should know that that demographic is actually the highest that lives in poverty even now by leaps and bounds by any other race.

But we are always lumped together, and included with Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese who historically have has access to better education and the ability to be educated. Whereas the poorer South East Asian Countries do not until coming to the US.



When you live in countries that face atrocities like Pol Pot, who killed millions and was the Asian version of Hilter, with governments that are terrible, making 20 bucks a month in income to support your family, with nothing, America is a haven and everything you want. Free education where our children can be more than field workers living in shitty huts with no running water or electricity. America's poverty, is a South East Asians idea of middle class.

So please before making these types of statements that politicians have created to further divide our races, look into history. We don't have this "white privilege" you seem to think we all do. It has been our government's agenda since the 1800s to divide us because they know, if they do, they win.

are we teaching our children to understand that we are all just human beings no matter what the differences - evolved to work together harmoniously with no one more important than the other ; just minute specks on some far reaching planet that many species call home

Also I never had an opportunity to go to college. Yet if you are a minority with good grades and good attendance, you are pretty much guaranteed collage. Its because whites actually have to work hard, while minorities get everything for free. If you can even call someone a minority anymore. If that isn't a privilege idk what honestly is. I know white men who made good grades all through school, who are doing worse then 90% of minorities I know. They were too poor to go to college, and because he didn't use his "white privilege" of working extra hard to get ahead is at the bottom of the ladder. Where is their white privilege?

I was having a moment myself. I'm not sorry for anything I said, but honestly dont feel as intense about it anymore. Topics like this just bring out the worst in me. Tbh I do feel for those who were dealt a bad hand. Just much as I feel you have to make something work with the hand you were given. No hard feelings. Lately I've been working to the point my finger tips are cracking open. Thats normal in the winter though. I just need some time to heal and relax. Some people are homeless and living in tents under the bridges in my local city though, so society has taught me to be thankful for my personal life nonetheless.
