I think on some level I couldn't. Lol. The look on his face when I tossed the bookmark on the floor...
Him: *hands me the book*
Me: *scrunched face* "What's this doing in here?!" *toss it on the floor*
Him: "You don't read bookmarks?"
Me: "Why the hell would I read a bookmark?! Why was it in my book? Were you reading it?"
Him: "No. Read the bookmark"
Me: *confused* "Why?"
Him: *sigh* "Woman, just read it"
Me: "Why? What the f*ck is your problem?" (I was PMSing and clearly oblivious)
Him: Jesus! *turns up television, flips through channels*
Me: *peeks at bookmark...smile, study the words as if they may magically change, mild panic, begin to read book...a few pages later, close book, stare at him and smile when he makes eye contact*
Him: *smirks...continues to watch tv*
