On my right fore arm.. whilst I was ironing.. now the skin is exfoliatinng..
And while it hurts..I find this burn pain somewhat fascinating.. maybe I could handle a bit of burn pain..??
When I was young I was watching a glazing fire in the yard one winter day and for some unfathomable reason I thought it wouldn't affect me if I touch a tin can pushed into the fire earlier that morning.. and I stretched my arm and dragged the can out with my finger. . The pad of my right index finger burned.. and for like a decade I hadn't have finger print on the finger lol.. but later it reappeared 🙂
Lol I'm not even sure what I'm talking about here.. just random stuff I guess..

Have you got burned ever?? :o

I have a circular burn scar on the underside of my right forearm by the wrist. It's about the size of the circle at the top of a soda can. I was at a party drunk on moonshine a few months ago and am not sure exactly what happened. I know I woke up the next day and felt fine (other than dehydration) but couldn't find my glasses. Those remains were found in the fire pit the next day. That burn never actually hurt but I definitely wouldn't say I liked it.

I've also had blistering sunburn, that's a different experience. The sunburn on my bald head and shoulders was awful.

I am sure it is too late now ??_

Back in time in military (survival training) and war time we were taught in case of burning the best way is to crack open couple of eggs, separating the yolks for the white the smear and apply the white over the burnt area for immediate cure and relief .

It works perfectly and you won't be able to tell the differences after 20-30 min. I hope that burning not happen again but if so.. remember the remedy above, in some cases it could be life saving.

Along the same lines I have a high tolerance to pain in general. I have broken several bones and have a lot of scars. None of it is intentional stuff, I am just the middle son of three adventurous boys. I hesitate because you sound almost like you want to cut/burn yourself which is a bad road to go down... But I kinda get what you're saying.

My last injuries were from a car wreck a year ago. I sprained both wrists, broke ribs, bloodied my nose on the airbag, various scrapes, and a concussion. The first few days did hurt. After that it kinds felt good. When I stretched to lift something I'd actually feel it in my chest. It wasn't really pain so much as feeling my body.

Me too-- but from throwing a steak on a too hot iron skillet.

I knew better, but sometimes I think I'm bullet (and hot oil?) proof.

I am not fascinated with it-- I go straight to the triple anti-biotic with lidocaine. 😄

Yike-- you're really fortunate there was no permanent damage. o.O

But I agree-- muscle pain is different, altogether.

Though a wreck is a terrible way to get there, if it's from overdoing a workout or something, it really is kind of satisfying. 🙂

I didn't burn myself on purpose yesterday..it was an accident.. so no worries there 🙂
though I was a bit of a cutter when I was young lol.. but then, back then I had issues.. hmmmmmmmmm issues.. I think I still have them..erm..or some.. lol but no more cutting, self mutilation..! lol

the feeling your own body part..yea that was a similar thing to what I was trying to say here (..but then ended up making no sense at all.. lol) like, everyday I just take it for granted - that my arms are attached to my body..I move them use them at my own will - without even noticing the process.. then now I have this burn, peeling off skin.. and whenever something touches there, there's a pain, which reminds me of the very existence of my arm lol..
ah this sounds a bit weird.. lol but then this is not the first time I have said or thought weird stuff!! lol

I got this burn yesterday and I was too busy..yesterday day was too busy..I didn't even have time to look at the burn when I got it..just had to go out again for a meeting..and a few hours later I just noticed the skin was peeling off.. I applied some ointment after I created this thread last night, though it didn't seem to help much.. well it's not a serious burn so I think it'll get better not before long..but probably it'll leave a very light scar..

yea pains muscle pains from overdoing a workout feel nice even though I'm not into exercising at all lol.. after a day long hiking, trekking and finally when you get rested..it feels good..it felt good.. 🙂 and I sleep/slept so much well 🙂

I have so many scars. Accident prone Aries. Lots of burns from cooking and ironing. One time I was ironing and I stupidly sat the iron on my bed. I have no idea why. A few minutes later I sat on my bed and the top of the iron fell onto the top of my thigh. I had to work that night and the burn bled through my khaki uniform pants. :/

"The scars exist to show that I existed"

Ouch at the ironing part..😢

Yea I walk real fast and don't pay much attention to the surroundings. .. so I bang my legs on some objects. .. that's why I have a few scars on my legs lol.. and I trip and fall lol walking hurrying too much lol...probably aries asc and moon are the reasons behind this lol..
