There has been a great deal of discussion about censorship. Whether that is over the censorship of what is broadcast over public airwaves, the legitimacy of hate speech laws, the community flagging of threads on DXP??_the list of examples is virtually limitless. Airheads, you have chosen to argue against censorship. Downy Dryer Sheets, you must argue in favor of it.
For the purpose of this debate censorship shall be defined as —the intentional suppression of information by an individual, group, entity, or government body, or any agent acting under the direction, authority, or influence thereof.?? Note that parent/child, adult/minor, and similar relationships are specifically excluded from the subject matter of this debate. We are not discussing mom??s right (human or civil) to determine what 9 year old Johnny can/cannot read/watch/hear. To offer just one example, we're discussing whether a government should have the right to order YouTube to remove or limit the availability of a video that contains content it does not want made available to viewers.
This is neither a law class nor a legal debate. Any player citing law(s), current, former, and/or proposed, as the basis for his/her argument(s) will be removed to a windowless room by Sergei for compulsory reeducation. Any such statements and any replies made to them will be ignored during the judging process.
This topic is a bit —looser?? than I prefer, but it does not lend itself particularly well to tightening up, so if you have any questions, ask them now. The debate will start after the questions are answered, assuming there are any. If no questions are asked before 9:30 PM EST, that will be the start time for this debate.

see this is where being a foreigner works in everyone disadvantage. we are immune to that shit but it helps us a lot when people bring it up in every movie 😄

What you describe is anecdotal evidence. It is admissible on the condition it is not sourced from a single individual. "This is proof because I say so" is not an acceptable argument.
