So if a man calls you silly a lot what does that mean? Is it a bad thing or a good thing?

Good I think, I think he is playing - teasing you.
Depends how he says it..

Posted by GODZ
i want to put you in the "yes daddy zone" imo

Posted by LibraSupreme
It depends on the context, but I only would use that tactic for mind treetrunking to get my desired goal accomplished. OP explain to him that uplifting you instead of using "neg" words work better with you.

I used to do that with my aris ex when i was annoyed when she was dramatic, noisy or interrupting me. Maybe something is making him uncomfortable.

silly racist or jus silly?

Posted by PhoenixStorm
It depends on HIS perception of the word.
Silly means funny to some people but it could mean stupid to others. I would just ask him.
I remember my sons dad used to call me “nasty girl“ and I got so offended 🤣🤣 he meant nasty as in naughty or bad (in a good way) but I took offense to it and asked him to use another word.
He and I had different perceptions of the word. So I would just start by asking him what he means by it.

Depending on the context, seems dismissive...but you would know better..

I'd like to know a lady's perspective on the regular use of 'cutie' from a considerably younger SO. 😑 😒

Idk this guy so I can only speak of the lady killers I know. Some people treetrunk mentally to lower the lady value in a subliminal way and make her have self doubt which in turn allows easy manipulation.click to expand

Come to think of it
Cant recall hearing straight men regularly use the word “silly” as part of their vocabulary

By any chance does he say
You are silly! At YOUR age I would hope you know WHAT
THAT
IS...🙄

i google it and this is what it said
Mindlessly defending, laughing at or admiring a person, typically someone of a celebration status.
so you think he trying to make me feel less so he looks better? doing this he appears to be a great catch?click to expand

No I could be completely wrong. If the contact is in a playful way it's nothing more than just playful banter. I'm just a scarred person who knows more short term than ltrs. Good luck on you and him for prosperity.click to expand

there is "a guy does something so sweet it is cute", the good cute. The other cute is "guy trying to be a strong tough guy and it is not working"
like "he soo cute i just want to eat him up"![]()
or "Aw look how cute he is being trying so hard"

She lashed out and mentioned my insecurities when I criticized her, my point is, ask him if he is annoyed, or if he has his period, nobody likes people who are unfriendly all the time.click to expand

I forgot to mention, calling someone silly, in my eyes, is belittling.
Depends on his style with ppl in general but i don't like the term at all.

my ex was a virgo who criticized me all the time and about stupid stuff because he didnt like the real me and wanted me to be something i am not. When i ask him if i have done something wrong he says it is all good. That man thingy "i can handle it". The guy i am talking about is an Aries. I am just going to chalk it up that he not really interested in me. uugh, sounds familiar, men carry this unconscious expectation that we have to be able to handle everything, but what about
our boundaries/preferences? I never looked at it like that. That virgo was clearly threatened by your lack of passivityor a sexist. yeah I like it, I would have lengthy discussions with the aries, you aries are good at removing negativity quicklyclick to expand

No because he has helped me through some hard times. People have their little things they like to be called or seen as. Daddy runs along the line as 'i am a pimp' or 'i am a boss'. they can be used in bad ways and they can be used as in endearments. i am just want some in put to what might be going on in is mind because he is the type of man that doesnt talk about his feelings. he is that Mans man type. "I need to be strong". either silly is being uses because he doesnt think much of me or it is an endearment because he finds me funny. It can even be he just doesnt know what to say to something i said so just says silly. lol one thing i do know he is not a stupid man. i also know a lot of people respect him.click to expand

Ok. All I’ve learned about an Aries here is that Aries are straight forward, honest, don’t wait and don’t hear...All True...lop
Wouldn’t you KNOW by now what’s going on if he was seeing you as an item?click to expand

Usually, that's called sugar-coating. Maybe you said something stupid or you're being really naive about something. So hey, i take it - he's just trying to be nice/kind/respectable. That's a sign he's treating you with respect - despite of finding the stuff you said or did - kinda stupid or naive. Tho, as others mentioned above - it's also a way of teasing a loved one (:who's kinda silly - most of the time). 😏

Speaking from experience, it starts out with “silly”. Then a year or two into the relationship you get upgraded to “turkey”. A year after that it becomes “little shit”. Not sure what it’s going to be next.click to expand

Yes very true. lol there was one guy on here asking me why women call men 'Cute'. We mostly text and so it is hard to tell what is his meaning of the word. I have more of a curiosity about what men say about it or when they use that word what does it mean to them. The only thing i know about this guy that is true. He gives me mix signals which again there are a few different reason why a person does that. He did tell me once that he is the type that keeps his feeling to himself. that Mans Man type. lolclick to expand

When women talk among themselves about a man - and one them says he's cute - that means she likes him (appearance wise). Tho, if the conversation takes place between a man and a woman (a date for example - or texting) - and the subject of attractiveness is approached by one of the parties - most women have a tendency to tell the guy that he's cute (You're cute... ^^) - without actually meaning it (in their head - they might think something like "He's meeeh!"). She's just trying to be nice (: so to speak). That being said - depends on the given context.
I did tease some girls friends by saying stuff like... " You silly goose!" Tho, that's mainly cause they were acting kinda silly - while texting and stuff. 😏 And i don't mean stupid, more like "acting silly was their way of teasing me" - or maybe "childish" is the right word (: which was actually a mutual thing - something we both did while texting). 🤭click to expand
