So if a man calls you silly a lot what does that mean? Is it a bad thing or a good thing?
Speaking from experience, it starts out with “silly”. Then a year or two into the relationship you get upgraded to “turkey”. A year after that it becomes “little shit”. Not sure what it’s going to be next.
Wut?
Well he is not gey. he is a very 👉👉👉 old 👈👈👈school Mans Man. 😆
Old.
How old?
Does he use words like "Galavanting", "Hullabaloo", "Negroid" or "Humdrum"?
...."dotis nomine"?click to expand

What is a lot? Sounds a bit degrading depending on the context. Like you want to sweep something under the carpet.
If it's in a funny and playful matter and it's his to go lovable petname for you. Then it's ok I guess🧐

5 pages later still no examples of what context he used it in. For instance, share parts of the text conversations you guys have.. ex:
Me: It took me a whole 30 mins to get over my fear of insects to clean up a dead bee by my window
Him: Oh you silly woman
Give us something to work with here

you just want juice details. the men have said why they would call a woman silly. That is all i needed. I was more curious then anything. Here the thing if he is not willing to tell me why he calls me silly i will never know. I can guess all i want to but still not know the truth. The only way to know for sure is for him to say it in front of me and i read is body language. this is just a question like i ask you "Why would you call a guy 'Cute"?click to expand

Ya I do want the juice. Honestly some of these simple thread topics just baffle me. Like people are trying to understand if a guy calling them silly is a good or bad thing? Really? Does he not have any other redeeming qualities to make you overlook this for instance y’kno? Anyway the guy so far seems like a weird texter. Maybe he’s just textually awkward. I personally used to judge men on the way they carried conversations through text. I personally think it can say a lot about a person. A lot of times it’s easier to say certain things through text than in person to their face hence it can be a way to get different insight on people.click to expand

it might be a pet name for me from him since i talk about all kinds of crazy stuff. He does call me crazy woman. lol
My Aries ex did that from time to time. That's normal if it's just fun and light banter.click to expand

It's definitely a pejorative in Italian. I've never really seen this situation in English though so I don't know.

We call each other silly, stoopid (has to be spelled like this) and many other insulting type terms that are terms of endearment. We also call refer to each other as dave... so yeah total weirdos.
I wouldn't stress about what random dudes say on here about how they would or would use this term. Its all about the nuances of your relationship.
How do you guys talk to each other? When he communicates is it in an affectionate teasing manner? Does he come with the jokes and pokes? If so, I wouldn't stress about it.
Or better yet just tell him "Daddy you hurt my feelers, now pay this phone bill" lol

that is the thing i am not stressing over it. I was more curious about and the men on here had some interesting things to why they would call a woman silly. He does love to joke and he does love to tease.click to expand

Usually, that's called sugar-coating. Maybe you said something stupid or you're being really naive about something. So hey, i take it - he's just trying to be nice/kind/respectable. That's a sign he's treating you with respect - despite of finding the stuff you said or did - kinda stupid or naive. Tho, as others mentioned above - it's also a way of teasing a loved one (:who's kinda silly - most of the time). 😏
Yes very true. lol there was one guy on here asking me why women call men 'Cute'. We mostly text and so it is hard to tell what is his meaning of the word. I have more of a curiosity about what men say about it or when they use that word what does it mean to them. The only thing i know about this guy that is true. He gives me mix signals which again there are a few different reason why a person does that. He did tell me once that he is the type that keeps his feeling to himself. that Mans Man type. lol
When women talk among themselves about a man - and one them says he's cute - that means she likes him (appearance wise). Tho, if the conversation takes place between a man and a woman (a date for example - or texting) - and the subject of attractiveness is approached by one of the parties - most women have a tendency to tell the guy that he's cute (You're cute... ^^) - without actually meaning it (in their head - they might think something like "He's meeeh!"). She's just trying to be nice (: so to speak). That being said - depends on the given context.
I did tease some girls friends by saying stuff like... " You silly goose!" Tho, that's mainly cause they were acting kinda silly - while texting and stuff. 😏 And i don't mean stupid, more like "acting silly was their way of teasing me" - or maybe "childish" is the right word (: which was actually a mutual thing - something we both did while texting). 🤭
it is really funny how one word can have soo many meanings depending on the context which is why there is a lot of misunderstanding in texts. Most of the time when he calls me silly is when i text something deep with some humor or a smart ass remark or both. 😆 so i just cant get a feel for what silly really means when he uses it because i have no body language to go off.click to expand

Texting is quite redundant anyway. I'd focus more on real life experiences.click to expand
