I always considered myself to be pretty friendly and easy going and I thought that others felt the same way. I guess I was wrong.

Last night, my supervisor at work did something that rubbed me the wrong way and I let him have it. I didn't yell, argue, curse or insult him. I just called him out and told him to cut the bullshit. 24 hours later and he is still moping and scared of me.

I was speaking to the other supervisor today and he confessed that he is still traumatized from a time that I snapped on him almost two years ago. Again, I didn't yell or argue, I just confronted him.

I really don't get it. What makes me come off as so scary and mean? Could it be all the fire placements?

I see myself as pretty friendly so I'm shocked to hear that I scare people.

I also notice that there are always a handful of people that just hate me for no good reason. One in specific is an older woman in a different department that I barely see or interact with. She's hated me for years and it's become a joke with my coworkers. We laugh about it. If we have to call that department and she's on, they always have me do it just to watch her freak out.

All my haters have the same characteristics. They are stiff and miserable and 99% are women.

if that's your photo in your avi and you snapped at him, and he's a more passive, easily scared guy, (your supervisor) then yes, you'd be scary and mean. You look tough, like you take no shit.

I very rarely go there but it does happen once in awhile. Maybe it is scary because it's unexpected. I swallow a lot before I say something.

I had an instance at work yesterday too. It was time to go and the manager went out of his way to go out of bounds on something I already corrected him on before. Its very simple and no oneelse has problems with it. Im thinking he has issues and cant "act right" no matter how much easier it is to act right than it is to go out of bounds. You run into these types sometimes I guess. Eventually I want to be out of there but Im trying to stay on track but I dont want to keep going over the same thing with him over and over and going backwards. I corrected him again and told him how I already gave hm no room to f up so its like he's trying too at this point.

You have to wonder if it's on purpose or he's just an idiot.

Long story short

He always cries to me about his personal problems and tells me what a great friend I am.

But he's two faced.

and I simply asked him what he meant by a comment that I overheard.

He got flustered and make up a bad lie.

So I called him on it

And he made up another bad lie followed by a bad excuse.

So I told him to stop with the bullshit because I'm not dumb.

Again, I did not raise my voice, argue or curse.

He crumbled.

That's why I'm confused. He doesn't act tough at all. He's a big baby that can't handle confrontation. He can't even handle a complaining customer and he's the supervisor. I've stepped in on more than one occasion because he gets nervous and starts fumbling.
