I finally get to see USCT. 🙂

I missed P-Angel's....I was scrolling and scrolling and getting all anxious and excited and then...disappointment.

Jason you are too cute! One of these times when we are both on, I'll upload a pic in my profile just for you 🙂 ... but then it will be deleted!

... but you probably have 300 hundred photos on facebook??
doesn't make sense?

First of all, I don't belong to Facebook, mySpace or any of those social networking sites; second, I don't post my pictures anywhere, and any of my friends (including my dad who friggin LOVES posting pictures), I've politely asked them NOT to post my pictures on their sites. They know I wouldn't be happy about it if they did, and in fear of me, they don't do it, because they know I would not be happy with them.

AA - i told you, he's gangsta! actually smiley in most pics but i like the mugshot.

Taurus women = STRONG attraction to bad boys
That isn't the only thing we look for or attract, but I swear, if there is one bad boy in a room he's mine! And don't get it twisted; they are well groomed and dressed in a package that says "Corporate America" but in their heart of hearts they are nothin' but gangsta'. I speak from experience...but they do say you attract who you are...hmmm, I better think about this for awhile.

"i like 'em purty yet grimy! GQ with a switchblade. "
Sigh sad hunh...I don't know if they have to be "purty" so much as have that "Je ne sais quoi." I like that swag of confidence w/borderline arrogance, and grimy ain't all bad w/that sexy look, and smelling good; wrapped up in some nice gear. Dayummmmn!
I don't know if it's a total Taurus affliction, but there are quite a few of us who have it. But, my Leo girlfriend has it bad too...but she's worse, because she only likes ballers and she hasn't really ventured out to date outside of her own race...I told her to come to the other side and really see how it's done 😉 My Scopio girlfriends are 50/50, some like bad boys and the others don't want to have anything to do with them, and my Virgo girlfriends abhor bad boys! So yes, I think it's something in us Taurus girls that might crave that...again, I don't know if I should be worried or not—?

@USC - you married yet? if not...YES! you definitely need a good boy intervention 🙂

my definition of "purty" isn't textbook either. they just have to have a presence about them that's a lil bit cocky, a lil bit cutesy. i can't stand men who KNOW they're good looking and act as if they are. i much rather prefer those tricky bastards that know it but don't put it on display.

this is how i know i've found a good one. if he's HOT!, compliment him. if he...

- starts talking about what designer he's wearing, acknowledges the compliment in excess or does some other arrogant crap...pass.

- starts negating you, does an "awwh schucks ma'am" kinda thing or seems embarrassed...pass.

- starts looking at you, smiles and changes the subject...THAT'S ONE COCKY BASTARD! i'll take 'em

oh and yes, black women in particular are not keen on exploring outside their race. might date a rican or dom but shun everyone else. white men are challenging in a lot of ways but ultimately, all men are assholes so either way you're dealing with shit.

No...I don't want to get married, and I never have since I was 12. I have committment issues (among other things). Overall, my bad boys aren't that bad, and oddly, a couple have wanted to "make an honest woman of me." I know you had a thread about this, but suffice to say, marriage really isn't for everyone, and I say this with total respect for those who have (successfully) done it, and continue to do it.

To each their own, but there is a saying, "If you keep fishing from the same pond, you'll get the same fish." So, if people are complaining they can't find a man/the right man/any man, then they may want to go to a different "pond", but that's just me, because at the end of the day, everyone has a preference, and they have to be true to themselves.

I won't say "all" men, but there is an OVER abundance of a $ $ holeness out there; but there are ignorant and biatchy women too, so I think it's a very equitable distribution of both...

bull*cough*shit

ironically, i used to feel the same way and i think that a fear of commitment is irrational. any fear is. it'd be similar to saying, "i don't want to be a star in hollywood because i love my privacy and they seem to lead very chaotic lives."

sure, there are some elements about it that are unappealing but saying you will/won't/can't do something with no rational basis is bullpucky. it's ok that you believe it and you can live your life the way you want but you'd only be holding yourself back.

at the end of the day, you are the problem...you're the one who has "commitment issues". that doesn't mean you don't want to spend the rest of your life with someone. in fact, it implies that you desperately do.

We will agree to disagree on this one. To have love in ones life is a beautiful thing, but I don't NEED to be with anyone.
Actually, your analogy is a good one for me, because if someone said you could be a millionaire but give up every stitch of your privacy, I would pass on that. You can believe or disbelieve what you like, but I've been in this skin/body a long time, and I know what I want and don't want. I'm always growing and ever changing, so you can never say never, but I have a very good grip on self-actualization, so I don't bull $ hit myself or anybody else for that matter, because at the end of the day, I'm the only one responsible for my happiness or unhappiness. I am accountable for everything in my life - good, bad or ugly.

actually, you missed the point of the analogy.

in real life, the likelihood of you being presented with a million dollar offer in exchange for your privacy just wouldn't happen. it's a hypothetical proposition that's inherently irrational.

no one "NEEDS" to be with anyone. we're not pre-wired to mate for life but determining at the age of 12...TWELVE...that marriage isn't for you is a sign that something was wrong. a real-life analogy for that would be a 12 year old girl deciding that she wants a baby...now.

i mean seriously. there are plenty of decisions we make as children that we keep. like, i want to be doctor/lawyer/travel...but to decide that you don't want to be married? that sounds rational to you. makes sense to you. sounds like a broken little girl to me. but whatever...

oh, and about that hypothetical...what i meant was, you are you. you get the million and you might choose to buy several hundred acres and be a recluse. celebrity doesn't imply dysfunction. assuming outcomes, assuming actions that are contrary to you and turning down those offers based on what other folks do and have done isn't a mature/rational decision. it's fear, judgment, lack of confidence, etc...

but this thread is about obama pictures 😛
