Artemis Fowl books, my son enjoys them a great deal. π
Spiderwick Chronicles. Those as well.
Right now I'm interested in books with knights, swords, saving damsels in distress, and romance in them but I haven't read any yet. I don't know of any either. The vampire section in book stores are pretty large.
Lol. How is that so?
LOL!! Don't sweat it.
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
My question exactly, what ages?
*sigggh* Good choices. ^
Little House In The Big Woods..and march on down the line with all 9 books.
Chronicles of Narnia
Trumpet of the Swan - E.B. White
Anything by Roald Dahl - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, James & the Giant Peach, etc.
Nancy Drew
Hardy Boys
And the classics never, ever die. Introduce them to the master works. Blow their minds, make them think.
Alice in Wonderland gave me nightmares. I was living that crappy world in my dreams.
Yes! I loved books then, love them now. Get lost in them. π Yayyyy reading!
Don Quixote
Gulliver??s Travels
Pride and Prejudice
Oliver Twist
The Scarlet Letter
Moby-Dick
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
Dracula
Frankenstein
Anne of Green Gables
The Call of the Wild
Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde
Hound of the Baskervilles
Ivanhoe
Little Women
The Secret Garden
A Little Princess
Silas Marner
White Fang
The Three Musketeers! En garde!
Robin Hood
Anything about King Arthur and his court ( including Twain ) π
Grimm's Fairy Tales, the complete set. π
Just so. Step through the cover into another realm. Another time. π
And now I want to adopt a mess of those children.
Exactly. No child should ever go without what I feel are the essentials. A loving hand, arms around them, plenty of kisses, loads of mental stimulation, and a belly full of something good. Air well outside, rinse in stream water, let them scamper through the mud and get filthy and tired and popped into a nice warm bath. Tucked in with a stuffed lovey under their arm, and off to sleep. Wake up and let's do it all over again, whooooppppeeeee!
ME TOO, and I want to go down to the creek and scamper after crawdads, run through the tall grass and ride my bike until I can't pedal another moment. π
π Great idea.
Night lady! π
You guys frigging rock. Thanks for the responses.
@Domino - Hah D, you do realize that all the games you LOVE playing would have never been created without books? π Imagine how sad you'd be without your games.
@Passionate Scorp - Harry Potter is an EXCELLENT idea I didn't even think about. It works for both boys and girls and I can skip the accursed TWILIGHT π
@Jadey Jade - I have no idea what ages. Literally it's something one of the guys in my crew get involved in so we're all pitching in. What I wrote above is most of what I was given.
@Pesca - lol thanks. It's not that big of a deal.
@VB - I don't know if Le Morte d'Arthur would be acceptable lol.
Probably not. LOL But what a good story. It's not like it's Anne Rice's "Beauty Trilogy". π

Help! So it looks like I'm participating in a Pajama program for kids."The Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to children in need, many who are waiting and hoping to be adopted. Thousands of children they serve live in group homes or shelters are are often shuffled between temporary living facilities. Many of them have been abused or abandoned, and have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a mother or father tuck them in at bedtime and read to them. Thank you for your support!"
I'm assuming for a little girl, I'll get some Twilight books.
But what the hell do I get a little boy that's current and relevant?I'm utterly clueless here so help book nerds, parents, or anyone that knows!
Get the guys Legos to build stuff with xD You MUST have Justin Bieber stuff around for the girls too. SCREW the hating ^_^. Most younger girls like Justin Bieber lol The girls may play with Legos too, so it works out for both. And there are some guys that like JB π LOL! You in a PJ party xD Cute*

See how that works!
