Who's Fake?

It has been recently brought to my attention that there are quite a few users who have long standing fake user accounts/alternate identities. For the life of me I don't know what would compel someone to maintain a fake user account or PM people and share fake personal details. I mean, what do you get out of it? What kind of sickness and lack of shit to do would make someone pretend that have a split personality?

So if you dare, which users do you feel are actually not real? This is one time that fish-bitch Ian would come in handy. I'm sure he has a list of folk he thinks are not really who they say they are.

Anyway, does it bother any of you that you might actually be communicating with someone's alter-ego?

on one hand, it's whatever but it does make me wonder about people who do it. not in a paranoid way but "why?" i mean does it start off as a joke and they just keep the shit up or what?

and thecritter is right. you can usually pick up on the fact that the person is fake give when they post, syntax, etc... i was looking at an old PM from one of these potentially fake people and it was like wow! why didn't i notice it before.

this site is getting weird...and not in a good way.

I'd be more interested in knowing WHY they did it in the first place. I'm sure some do it for a lark, thinking they're being clever. But what's the real poop behind it, the point. As to the whom? the point of this thread is, be careful who you share personal details with i guess and just because someone is an established user doesn't mean they're real.

Who was the one who was calling herself a slut and other degrading things? I don't remember because it was a long time ago, but I think Dy or someone was the one who figured it out. Dy, and another person are all into that checking IP's and stuff. I don't have any time nor inclination to do all of that crap, but apparently there are a lot of people on here who (seriously) start new accounts and try to be someone else.

Yea but I wasn't too worried about it. It was in the middle of the day in a park that's fairly populated on the weekends. Not trying to get "E-Tough" by any means but I keep myself in shape 😛. Tubs is probably right. Testosterone. I was far more volatile when I was younger.
