Babys with teethers are sooo cute, but soon they start wailing and cryin in a shrieking voice if they dont get what they want. The teenagers are UNBEARABLE. Knowitalls,

disrespectful, far beyond the concept of taking accountability, a constant source of ruined days and anxiety. Why o why o why? Was it worth it? Also, they are drain to your wallet. Did you enjoy it or did you hate your life?

I have a teenage son and he's never disrespectful nor a know-it-all. He listens to me and I try to be transparent to him especially now that he's 18. We communicate and sometimes I feel like he takes care of me more than I take care of him.

Even as a child he barely made any fuss, never had any tantrums when we were out. He knew that if I didn't have money to buy him an expensive toy, he can just look and admire which he always did.

As for money, I'm fortunate enough to have ex in-laws who doted on my son. They've been supporting me with his school tuition fees since his kindergarten days and medical bills until I could afford a good HMO for the both of us. His father's also in the picture and they'd see each other several times in a month.

Yes, having kids is expensive and very exhausting hence I only have one. My son is the main reason why I work my ass off and climb the corporate ladder. It's tough especially if you're a single parent. But my not-so-little guy gives me purpose in life and I truly am happy with the life we built.

The one complaint I have with my son is that he eats a lot. So for those of you who want to have kids - if you end up with a Taurus kiddo, food expenses will definitely be challenging. Lmao.

I don't even eat rice but have to buy 8 kg of rice every 2 weeks just for him. 2 loaves of bread consumed in a week and a half and a bigass jar of Nutella and that's just a light snack for my giant Taurus son.

Do you have a taurus? lol. Maybe you can teach him how to cook. I asked a mother, she said, she didnt have that problem

cause she taught her children that making a fuss etc is a big nono. Its just todays kids seem to get their way more often.

Yes my kiddo is a Taurus. He knows how to cook the basic stuff. He empties the pantry so easily with his big appetite that I had to force him to adapt Intermittent fasting. Everyone in our family has diabetes except for me and I'm scared he'd go down that path if I don't try to control how much he eats.

IMO kids these days say and do whatever they want because some parents aren't as firm nor attentive. Just be sure to set ground rules, be firm and communicate with them RESPECTFULLY at an early age and a parent would hardly run into major issues when kids enter their teenage years. There will be angst definitely, but this is why communication is key. Parents need to learn how to listen without judgement.

Nothing about it ever appealed to me, and what a dumpster fire of a world you’d be bringing a child into. It’s borderline irresponsible. Have a girl? 50/50 chance. Be very afraid for her. Women are second class citizens and losing their rights, what we’ve seen so far is not even close to over.

Let’s also mention how absolute trash so many parents are. Too many parents should have never spawned. Just open a news page and parent negligence/abuse is front and center every single day. Children left in hot cars is a big one right now. Children shooting themselves, siblings, or parents with loaded guns left accessible to them, always a local story about this no matter where you are. Rape of children most often by their own family members, not even a little surprising. Every day news.

The two younger generations (millennial and Z) regularly speak out about being unable to afford housing, let alone afford to have a family. MOST of the mothers I knew from where I moved from were on food stamps and barely making rent each month. It’s too easy for men to peace out and avoid child support. And to be on the safe side, as a woman you should know that you could very well be raising a child alone 🤷🏼‍♀️ A worst case scenario that’s not even uncommon. Who wants to be put in that situation? Unfortunately the system being laid out by your wealthy old men in power makes family planning, and now even recreational non procreative sex, just for the wealthy!

These are all uncomfortable truths. No one wants to hear them but it’s the reality of the situation.

Just booked a vasectomy after reading this post 😅

Awwww don’t. It’s not bad for everyone. Our kid will turn 24 this year and it’s all good, not easy but something I’d not have missed.

I love being a mum

He’s as funny as you and makes me laugh loud 😂

I do agree with Nano about some people shouldn’t be allowed to have babies though ....

Hey there are actually more men stepping up and doing just that right now. Not as many as there needs to be, but it’s a start. From what I know, nothing about any of this post applies to you though, you’re in a small minority that gets the green light as determined by society. Go you 👍🏼

Lol I already have so many blunders with my cousin’s kid

She is a single mom

I was teaching him to play basketball once on the rooftop

He wanted to throw the ball at a crane

He asked me

I didn’t think he’d do it

The next day security knocks on my door and says the glass downstairs cracked 😅

The little bastard actually threw the ball

He was also caught on video doing it

He’ll remember that incident for the rest of his life

Also as a man I think family looks at you like an ATM

Like what can you buy for me dad

The consensus is that “some” people shouldn’t procreate. You don’t fall in that category!!

Everything you mentioned above sounds cool to me and like good parenting skills 😅

I could go on and on and on about why it’s a bad idea. Why stop there?

An old friend I had in high school is going through a divorce currently. I would have never thought she of all people would have ever gotten a divorce, like if a modern day couple was going to make it, it was these 2 people. Guess who now has 3 small children, no money, no skills, no work experience for her whole married life (10+ years), completely on her own to work minimum wage to somehow support 3 small children and hope the guy decides to pay his child support? In her case, I doubt he will too because last I know he’s working under the table. So how do you even do that? I get the whole “moms always find a way because they don’t have a choice but to” thing but holy fuck - why would you ever willingly put yourself into a situation that would allow that to happen to you?

Oh man i get anxiety reading this, yeah would you want to have a baby in this uncertain cruel times. and even if you do there are so many that could be adopted.

My son didn't cry too much when he was a baby. He slept through the night, so I got my sleep. When he did cry, it made me emotional.

To this day I feel the same way. My heart gets tugged a little when he's sad about something.

If I see any behavioral issues that can potentially be a problem, we can talk about it. It's an open conversation which he appreciates because he can say what he wants and he's very articulate.

It takes time to build effective communication that works for us both but so far, it's good.

My son fueled my passion even more to get to where I am.

He's not spoiled with material things where I allow him to play vid games. Often times, we're out and about absorbing nature. He's been my outdoor buddy since he was 5/6 and as he gets older, he appreciates the natural surrounding even more.

My anxiety doesn't stem from him but the world and I want to keep him safe as much as possible. So far, I believe he's well equipped with knowledge and skills.

It can be frustrating for any parent whether single or not without the proper support and resources.

You sound like a great mum! ❤️

Um sounds like you need to be talking to parents of TikTokers and Instagrammers but they’d totally mob on you. Have you seen the 80s and 90s high school movies? Teenagers have always been menacing little shits way before technology.

I always wondered why it was low income people that always had the most kids vs the middle class and higher. Is it because they get more welfare from the government per child? I definitely know those baby daddies can’t afford child support.

Contrary to popular belief, there’s more rich people okay with marrying beneath their wealth status. I know plenty of married couples in their late 20s-30s who are considered rich for their age who are either childless or just working on their first child. It’s just so ironic to me people who can least afford children have the most children. It’s obviously going to be a disaster as you have disproportionately WAY MORE children being brought into poverty.

Here rich people and poor people are those groups of people with many kids. It’s all those who are neither who have no kids or only one.

My dad has 14 siblings 😅 He ended up the most successful out of all of them. He only had me and my brother… my mom wanted more kids but he refused and I will never understand why. Like my mom was always a housewife and did all the raising anyway.. I’ve noticed a lot of well off people who wait to have children ironically also have the most fertility problems vs low income people who easily pop out five kids in a row. Life is full of twisted ironies.

Could be but as if people back then didn’t stress about having enough food on the table or not to feed their 50 kids 🤔 Definitely also due to increased pollution and highly processed food affecting fertility.

Actually genuine women are becoming less and less interested in non self-sufficient guys who only have daddy’s money to flaunt. The only ones left attracted to them are merely attracted to their daddy’s money, rarely the guy as a person. This is exactly what’s happening to my cousin. She acted so innocent before and early after marriage (everyone saw through her except my cousin). Less than a year in and his wife is now shamelessly demanding a lot of financial expenses from my aunt and uncle lool.

My babies were pretty good. Taurus is stubborn and resistant to change. Pisces cries alot but is sweet and very beautiful. They are intelligent and did well in school. Nothing too extraordinary or wrong.

No grandkids.

Marriage and career was and is more challenging than motherhood. If you're savvy with astro, you can kinda get a sense of these things... The 5th, 7th, 10th... Kids, marriage, career.

Sometimes when I think about babies I feel disgusted. Then I start thinking about how an awful person and woman can I be with having thoughts like this. A baby is just so much work, I don't know if I could have the patience and will to take care of it all of the time. Nothing about motherhood makes me feel warm inside. And baby / toddler is the best part...when they grow up and become less cute, that's when the problems start. Honestly, I was and still am a shitty child and I am sorry for all that I've put my mother too. If I were in the same situation I'd give up ages ago. So I guess I will not have kids because I don't want to pour my negative emotions towards them. What if I hate them?

As far as being a cat mom, I am loving it and would die for her.
