Here's my deviantart gallery. Dig through the folders on the left and study some of the photos in them. That will give you an idea of what I mean by having an artistic eye, using lines, perspective, light, etc. to your advantage. I make it my business to take some of the most overlooked moments and find the magic in them so that a dried weed, or a piece of wood is so much more than it seems.

Depends on which one. The one playing in the snow, and the two with their faces together are both mine. The one standing in deep snow was my sil's mare, but she's been gone for almost 5 yrs now.click to expand

Posted by MoonArtistRight?? Omg I had so much fun with them last spring. I was able to test out my camera's capabilities and was really happy with the results. I was sitting on the ground next to my ficus tree for like 10 minutes while he stayed there and groomed himself. I even got some video of that as well haha. I loff them.
LOVE the fuzzy bird butt! Those are great. π

Posted by MoonArtistIt could be the feeder. I have larger ones that are just fine, but they're like meh, no. We're going to use these little tube feeders you got for a dollar.
@rockyroadicecream, I've almost always had horses. Grew up riding, and never outgrew it.
I use sugar water, too, but I've never had luck getting hummers to drink. Usually the ants find it first. I have a friend who gets a couple dozen at her feeder at any given time. I'm not sure if I'm not putting my feeder in a place they like or what. They like my flowers, though.

Do you guys know a good photography site/forums? I am new to this. I like taking photos, mostly of sceneries and the like.

Posted by rockyroadicecreamMaybe that's the problem. Mine is one of those cute and fancy ones. It's actually made from a glass bottle, and the base has copper flowers. I'll have to try a cheap red and yellow one and see if that changes things. Snobby birds snobbing on my fancy feeder! πPosted by MoonArtistIt could be the feeder. It's about the brightness of it all, which is why they're always bright red and yellow. I have some with the perches, which is ideal so they can rest while drinking, but NOPE. They're like, no it's okay. We like these cheap ones. They come with little hangers, so I just plant those in existing pots so the feeders blend in with whatever plant the pot has.click to expand

Posted by MoonArtistSeriously. They're feisty. Two were fighting in my yard the other day. Several buzz in front of my sliding door to bitch at the cats chilling behind it. I let one out once in awhile to get grass and one or two are bound to be buzzing around and will hover above her, chirping angrily. Posted by justagirlYeah, I've never understood why people post photobucket album links. People can get right into your profile and get to your other albums, which from what I've seen, have had more personal stuff. People just don't think about that and their real names are given out, what they look like, and anything else that could be personal in those albums. Depends on what they have in them.
Bunny.. remove the photobucket link. you will thank me later.
Your pics are fine for a beginner btw π

Posted by firebunnyIf you take more like this, pay attention to the perimeter of the shot, too, not just the center focus. See how the bench on the left got cut off, and the building on the right, too? They're distracting and they make clutter on the edges that draw your eye away from the focus. Move to a spot that keeps them out, or crop. I'd move to another spot because I really like as many of those trees in the frame as you can get, but at the same time you want them to sort of "frame" the shot.Posted by MoonArtistThanks!
