When the power goes out in the entire building at work...Then your child's father comes to your job bringing flowers...
But you don't want him... you're just happy to see him crawling at your feet..
Then angry that he thinks your stupid enough to not think he's full of shit..
So you walk past him like he was a random man on the street...
I hate that I'm this way now. The lawd is still working on me...

I think I have a different understanding of the word petty. Especially considering.
Petty would have been to take the flowers, without saying a word and give them to someone else in front of him then sashay away.
Unless I am missing something....

1) Are theses his friends or yours because..."spiteful b*tch"? Eh?
2) The mere fact that you didn't laugh in his face keeps you out of the petty lane.
3) You seem to be talking about two different things. Are they saying you're petty because you want to laugh in his face and just mentioned this to them over conversation or are they saying you're petty because you walked by him ignoring his gesture when he showed up with the flowers?
When did making a decision to ignore someone that hurts you become "petty"?
