Have you ever had abuse when you were a child?

When i was a young girl my step brother made me get on my knees. I was about 7 years old. He was 10 years older then me. He did shitty things to my sister and I. i had to watch as he did shitty things to my little sister. So FUCK getting on my knees for anyone for any reason. I will never get on my for no one ever again. There are other was to handle or deal with oppressive without making other people feel like shit. That is not how you do it.
Nothing cheapens the experience of sexual abuse survivors like using it to make racist talking points.

I can’t say that it didn’t effect my relationships and the fact that I typically remain very distant from white men to this day. But I can recognize that and acknowledge my own bias and don’t make arguments about other issues biased on the several incidents I personally experienced.
But I was fortunate and have been in therapy for like 7 years all together that has helped significantly.
Exactly you recognised you needed external help, we all do at some point. Good for you.

I think this thread is harmful for the OP more than anyone else. Since it's pulling in bigots, I have a feeling that any support she receives (especially from the men) would come from those with the wrong intentions. It might even amplify her past trauma.click to expand

Interesting how this leaves out the history of it's predecessors (e.g. Whig party, National Republican Party, Federalist Party) and doesn't do much to explain the current day Republican Party's opposition to the Civil Rights act of 1964 and the realignment of Southern white conservatives from the Democratic Party to the Republican party during that time.

Stuff like this needs to be talked about if we are to move forward and make this country better. It is people past trauma and speaking up is make all USA take a good look at themselves. The one thing i learned from my mother Gen and my grandmothers Gen, they were big on not speaking about bad things which made life worst. This did not get better till people aired it out or put their cards on the table. I really want to make sure we dont go backwards 60 to 70 year. There was a shit load of great changes that happen dure those years and i dont want to see them undone.

Those comments under the YouTube video are the epitome of an echo chamber. That's evident based on the huge increase in views/subscribers to his channel after posting that video.
I'm willing to bet that a large majority of his subscribers, especially those 100k+ that subscribed in the days following this video, are white conservatives.

I would agree with you if that guy is spilling a lot of bullshit - might even be the one debunking it (as i did in the past - with other BS posted on DXP) - but that dude makes a lot strong points. Thus, you'd loose that bet for sure - because his ideas are anything but conservative (radical even). Not only that, he's saying stuff "that most white people can't/won't in U.S. (since it's deemed as politically incorrect - aka, that could get you fired - as it happened in the past)". Which, is quite ironic... to be called privileged (which implies - you have more rights) - while your freedom of speech is limited - for being white (if your skin has any other color - those limits don't apply). And i don't mean racist shit, but general truths tackled with common sense (or why not - inconvenient truths). Only a black person could approach those subjects - without getting intro trouble.
One could say, the roles have reversed. I mean, in the American past - some white people used to be black people's voice (and those inconvenient truths - didn't sit well with a lot white people - for obvious reasons). And now - white people need black people to be their voice - while touching certain subjects that are deemed taboo (politically incorrect). Sure, there are some white people - who don't have anything to risk (work from home or have their own business) - who approached those subjects on YouTube (or some other social network). But it's not the same, as in - those people have only white viewers (black people wouldn't bother checking his content - they'd just read the title - label him as racist and move on). On the others hand, if a black dude voices those things - then the black audience - might give him a chance to speak his mind (even if initially they'd think he's just trolling, while hearing him out - those truths can change some of their views - could even change their life for better). If anything, the title is misleading (click bait - if you will), and he's to blunt/direct at times.
That being said, his rise in views and subscribers - could actually be legit (an eye opener for some and a voice for others). One last thing... i'm actually kinda shocked that this came from someone like him, as in... both a religious person and a Trump supporter (i have to admit, i had all kinds of prejudice - when it comes to Trump supporters - as if i could never ever see eye to eye with one of them, yet... life can be surprising like that).

I forgot to tag you in my last post (but you can check my posts history). It's about the tragic events that took place couple of days ago - yet, nobody dared to say anything around this parts - even tho more than 150 people where shot (in Chicago and NY alone), 20+ were killed... including children (at least 5 black children / you have their pictures in that post). Maybe because BLM protestors were also involved in those shootings (and those children killers - don't even wanna give themselves in, even worst - they seem to be protected - cause nobody's saying anything...). You'll find multiple links in there - describing the events (hopefully, that evidence is good enough for you...). It's been awhile since I've seen news about tragic events like that (since i tend to avoid the news), so... that stuff got to me (the death of those children and their grieving parents - in particular).

After all, human ignorance is representative for the majority. As for skin color, objectively speaking - that's only relevant while facing the Sun (the rest are just human concepts/stories - so depends what believes you ascribe to - be it as a Leader, a follower or a bystander). Have you ever gone days without food?
Have you ever had abuse when you were a child?
Have you ever had people call you white trash?
When i was a young girl my step brother made me get on my knees. I was about 7 years old. He was 10 years older then me. He did shitty things to my sister and I. i had to watch as he did shitty things to my little sister. So FUCK getting on my knees for anyone for any reason. I will never get on my for no one ever again. There are other was to handle or deal with oppressive without making other people feel like shit. That is not how you do it.
Nothing cheapens the experience of sexual abuse survivors like using it to make racist talking points.

I can’t say that it didn’t effect my relationships and the fact that I typically remain very distant from white men to this day. But I can recognize that and acknowledge my own bias and don’t make arguments about other issues biased on the several incidents I personally experienced.
But I was fortunate and have been in therapy for like 7 years all together that has helped significantly.

I think this thread is harmful for the OP more than anyone else. Since it's pulling in bigots, I have a feeling that any support she receives (especially from the men) would come from those with the wrong intentions. It might even amplify her past trauma.
Opportunist will always exploit vulnerable people, take a look at Hollyweird or the Music industry. The OP has probably already been subjected other mental abuse... but I’m speculating.
People here are no different but it’s good to keep it visible to allow everyone the voice, so we can analyse where these thoughts stem from and start retracing.
Knowing what forums people use to spout out bs is highly valuable, after all data is a high value commodity.

And we’re not going backwards in our thinking (60/70’s), it may feel like that due to the pace of our globalised culture that we have created, in turn the outcome is polarised politics.
Each generation with the tech speeds up twice as fast from the last gen, this can be overwhelming especially for those who like the status quo and not ready to adjust, not everyone can swiftly update their mental software like the machines we have created. So I would give you the time to learn more from life experience.
However sometimes there’s no need to fix it, if it ain’t broken. Unfortunately this isn’t one of them, the undertones of societal systematic racism is too deeply ingrained to the point some people can’t see it. So when someone confronts us to think differently it sounds harsh, but all they are questioning is your programming.

When i was a young girl my step brother made me get on my knees. I was about 7 years old. He was 10 years older then me. He did shitty things to my sister and I. i had to watch as he did shitty things to my little sister. So FUCK getting on my knees for anyone for any reason. I will never get on my for no one ever again. There are other was to handle or deal with oppressive without making other people feel like shit. That is not how you do it.
Nothing cheapens the experience of sexual abuse survivors like using it to make racist talking points.

But I was fortunate and have been in therapy for like 7 years all together that has helped significantly.

I think this thread is harmful for the OP more than anyone else. Since it's pulling in bigots, I have a feeling that any support she receives (especially from the men) would come from those with the wrong intentions. It might even amplify her past trauma.
Opportunist will always exploit vulnerable people, take a look at Hollyweird or the Music industry. The OP has probably already been subjected other mental abuse... but I’m speculating.

I am not a political science major philosophy minor. I do love learn history because am a big believer in learn from the past, plan for the future. Plus history has great stories about some really great people. My main thing is the sciences and arts.

The left is becoming more and more overtly anti-semetic everyday so this accusation doesn't even really hope any weight anymore lmao, a lot don't even try to hide it. Sure there's anti-semetic neonazis on the right as well, the difference is that it's relegated to the fringes while it's crept into the mainstream on the left. They just see them as a sub-sect of economically privileged people who also benefit from their light skinned white privilege. I will start with this. Israel is a Jewish country. That is not debatable because if you look up the population and who lives there, the majority of the people living there are Jews. I believe it is 74% of the population is Jews. The Jews that live there are from countries they were expelled from or Jews that fled other countries to escape persecution. Any Jew in the world can go there to escape persecution.
Back to something I said earlier, only 30% of those Jews living there are Ashkenazi or white European Jews. That means that 70% of Jews are other types like Sephardi, Mizrahi, Ethiopian, etc.
Is the United States a Christian country?
