Not commenting on the slur but if what you say is true in the above statement, you should ask him about the Maori language and the injustices they have faced in history.

I 100 % agree with you. I feel exactly the same way. I feel education lets us down and hides this info from us.
Western Education likes to paint it as we are doing indigenous languages peoples and cultures a favour by helping them or 'allowing' them to have rights.
But when you look into it you see that actually these communities are the ones saving OUR asses.
Now in whose interests would it be to hide that i wonder?
Development companies that want the land or sea.
I dunno...we were taught a little about it in school but mostly in the context of irish history. But we need to look more globally.

I was taught in school about how Irish speaking fisherman have more traditional fishing practises that are better for the sea and the figh than more global corporate ones.
But I didn't learn about the same in Nigeria and the Americas or elsewhere .. Nigeria has something like 400 languages. Papa New Guinea is one of the most linguistically diverse places on earth. So is india. And a lot of these languages are spoken by people in areas with a lot of resources that companies want. So they brainwash us with propaganda telling us these langages are not useful and we dont need to support these languages and gradually the community breaks down they move to cities and companies do deals with the govt to take land.
I dont want to have this white saviour thing. I know I cant really do anything much. I mean navajo isnt going to be saved by a white irish girl speaking it. It needs govt policy etc and MONEY.
BUT i can learn my own language. And i wont apologize for doing so. Its been much maligned over the years. People think its twee or quaint they condescend .. which is funny because its a much harder and more sophisticated langauge than english. It has a case system like slavic languages and its very complex. But people say its linked to terrorism etc its just propaganda to try and get the irish to forget our history so that we just join the corporate rat race and oppress ourselves and everyone else too for being diff.

1. Evidence against the resurrection NO SCHOLAR at the time records this. Its only added in AFTER the event supposedly took place. Mark has been clearly rewritten many times. There are many diff versions and none of them agree. The apostles didn’t actually write the Gospels. Literally every scholar agrees that the Gospels weren’t written until decades later, Bible scholars included. Evidence he didn't rise from the dead.
Conclusion.
Inconsistencies in the New Testament, to contradictions in the various Gospel accounts as evidence that the stories are human rather than divinely inspired. The fact the disciples didnt even write the gospels and no person who knew the man jesus did either.

The Jews of the time of Jesus simply remained Jewish. They knew him they knew their doctrine and presumably what they were waiting for. IMO people know a messiah when they see one. The prophecies are meant to line up. The Jews are still waiting for the Messiah. That is where we differ I dont believe one is coming.
The gospels probably werent even written until about after 150 after Jesus died.
5. The geography is all wrong. Which is worrying. Whomever wrote the Gospels particularly MARK doesnt seem to know the levantine area (AKA palestine and now the state of israel ) at all.
Mark 7:31: A Circuitous Route, Jesus travels from Tyre, goes through Sidon, and then to the Sea of Galilee in the Decapolis region only you cant travel that way to decapolis it would end up taking you futher away. It suggests the person who wrote it hadnt even been there.
Defenders would say the disciples weren't very educated and that doesnt mean its not real. But it kind of makes it sound like the most educated people at the time Jewish scholars didnt think Jesus was the Messiah but these followers did.
Basically the bible as its written in teh 4 gospels .. doesnt seem to know the geographical area Jesus was supposed to be from at all.
The above would be generally internal erros the bible fighting with itself.

The evangelists could have been disciples of Jesus, who are not named.
There were the twelve apostles of Jesus, and then disciples, who were followers but not of the twelve.
The english translation I use refers to "disciples" and "brethren." Acts states that they became known as "Christians" for the first time at Antioch, a localized name for the sect/new religion, which became common.
So the evangelists could have been disciples of Jesus, is what I'm saying. There's really no conclusive proof as far as I'm aware.
And the 6,000 years uses the Jewish/early Christian dating system, in my opinion.
Adam and Eve were progenitors of multiple lines, one of which became Abraham and his seed.
Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden. Jewish and other texts support the conclusion that Eden is now Aden, Yemen, a port city on the coast, which is in a region well known through ancient pagan writings to be a flourishing place.
So Christians from gentile backgrounds are reading the Jewish annals in The Old Testament.
The Romans, for example, used the founding of their city for their year system. Called "Ab Urbe Condita" in Latin, from the conditioning or founding of the urb, city, or burgh.
So CCC AUC would be year 300 in Rome.

This is a continuation of the my last post.
But that does not mean the world began when Rome was founded.
Also, the pagans had speculations of their own on how existence came into being, and the account in Genesis makes more sense in a lot of ways compared to what the pagans were saying, in my opinion.
The creation of the universe is still a matter of speculation as far as the knowledge of physics is concerned.
The Big Bang Theory does not disprove God, and it is a theory anyway. It is not supported by conclusive evidence.
As a sidenote, it was a Roman Catholic priest who devised The Big Bang Theory.
Atheists, who read textbooks, could not comprehend it and freaked out, because The Big Bang Theory argues for the notion of "Intelligent Design." And atheists don't want to admit that there is evidence for a designer, so they tried burying The Big Bang Theory.
Only when scientists, who are theists—which means they believe in a deity— had enough, they reminded the atheists where they stood, and how reading textbooks in college didn't mean they could just say whatever they want. It is the same with atheists today in the U.S.

Were you raised in a Christian household? It sounds like you are coming out of a disillusionment if that makes sense? I was raised in a Christian household where my mother was more religious than my father. He tended to be a hypocrite - not someone who lived as he believed or professed. I came to the realization in my 20’s that I do not believe in it and was comfortable living more as a Noachide for many years. But I feel drawn closer to God now to develop a more and real relationship. It’s been on my soul for a while now, several years, to return to the Temple I started my conversion with and just never finished, so that’s where I’m at now. Just sharing this story in case you can relate.
As for Jesus, I do not believe in him as the Messiah … the whole birth to Mary through a Holy Spirit has not sat with me since early adulthood. There is a theory out there that Mary was raped by a Roman soldier and that is how the birth of Jesus came to be. So I get why you point out the lies in the New Testament.
The Jewish Mosiach will fight wars for the Jews and will establish the 3rd Temple in Jerusalem. This is the religion I believe in. I hope you find what your true beliefs are and do not turn away from God altogether over the disillusionment.

How do you know there was not one universal language before the tower of Babylon? What evidence do you have that it is not true? Looks like the language was preserved from Abraham and his descendants.
Yes, the earth is older than 6000 years old, but that is when a historical record started taking place of what you would call the Bible. Does that make sense?? I can expound on it if you wish, but am rushed for time as I write this.

1. Evidence against the resurrection NO SCHOLAR at the time records this. Its only added in AFTER the event supposedly took place. Mark has been clearly rewritten many times. There are many diff versions and none of them agree. The apostles didn’t actually write the Gospels. Literally every scholar agrees that the Gospels weren’t written until decades later, Bible scholars included. Evidence he didn't rise from the dead.
Conclusion.
Inconsistencies in the New Testament, to contradictions in the various Gospel accounts as evidence that the stories are human rather than divinely inspired. The fact the disciples didnt even write the gospels and no person who knew the man jesus did either.

2. The bible is full of lies. The world isnt 6000 yrs old. The world was not created in 6 days. These things are easy to prove.
We have fossils we have proof it is many billions of years old.
There was no adam and eve. Humans evolved.
3. The bible makes many mistakes. Not even just mistakes in Geography or astronomy but mistakes about its own content. Its impossible to harmonize the narrative of paul. Which means it probably wasnt written by him or even one person but many.
4. The Jewish people were right. Jesus wasn't the Messiah. He wasnt a descendant of king David he didnt end all wars. He didnt fullfill any of the prophecies necessary of the Messiah. The Jews of the time of Jesus simply remained Jewish. They knew him they knew their doctrine and presumably what they were waiting for. IMO people know a messiah when they see one. The prophecies are meant to line up. The Jews are still waiting for the Messiah. That is where we differ I dont believe one is coming.
The gospels probably werent even written until about after 150 after Jesus died.
5. The geography is all wrong. Which is worrying. Whomever wrote the Gospels particularly MARK doesnt seem to know the levantine area (AKA palestine and now the state of israel ) at all.
Mark 7:31: A Circuitous Route, Jesus travels from Tyre, goes through Sidon, and then to the Sea of Galilee in the Decapolis region only you cant travel that way to decapolis it would end up taking you futher away. It suggests the person who wrote it hadnt even been there.
Defenders would say the disciples weren't very educated and that doesnt mean its not real. But it kind of makes it sound like the most educated people at the time Jewish scholars didnt think Jesus was the Messiah but these followers did.
Basically the bible as its written in teh 4 gospels .. doesnt seem to know the geographical area Jesus was supposed to be from at all.
The above would be generally internal erros the bible fighting with itself.
Lets look at external ones.

So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

And perhaps the only pertinant thing to this thread.
