I think that it is fine for a four-year-old.

We don't see it that way either, breasts are just that..breasts. Most men don't even include them during foreplay/sex. Only thing that's hidden are the private parts.

LOL! I'm not the one giving her backlash, the American soccer moms are..I'm simply asking a question. I don't have a problem with topless people, I live here, remember? Africans LOVE going topless, proof is on my profile pics. I'm just trying to understand the mentality behind the backlash from other Americans.

My parents both had to take me and my sister in the shower with them when we were really little because they couldn't leave us alone for even 5 minutes or we'd do/eat something that would end us in the hospital.

My dad stopped when we noticed he had different parts than us...he told us "daddy's have peckers and mommy's have flossies" (PA dutch word)

and he remained fully clothed in front of us at that point on I guess.

Also, I have a few friends with kids and they take their kids in the shower too...it seemed weird to me when I first heard that, but I guess it's really not.

Showering with your kids IS weird. I think there're some things that kids are allowed to see & things that they should never see. My bff has a 3 year old little girl & one day while we were sitting at her house, her daughter went to her bedroom & came out with a huge sanitary pad between her legs. LOL! She was embarrassed, but it was hilarious all the same.

Until a certain age, they don't even realize. & it's not like they remember.
I don't remember any of this...just what my mom tells me because she thinks it's funny my dad told us "daddy's have peckers" hahaha nice word choice dad

I hear different things from everyone...but I think before age 3 they don't notice stuff like that

This is very true. I wrote something similar on the post I hidden--I have a 4 year old & when he saw me naked (for the 1st time), he asked me where my PP was..he was about 3 at the time.

I didn't inquire nor do I know at exactly what age she was "educated" on the female anatomy. She still takes baths with her 3 yo brother, so my guess is "mom" has gone over the male anatomy as well. Maybe that's what prompted it IDK I still find it rather disturbing that she gave her a visual overview of herself. That's just WRONG IMO!!

My mom raised me and my sisters to be nudist . My dad only went shirtless. I wonder if things woulda been different if I had a brother.

You did see the part where I said WE, right? By WE I meant US.. HERE, especially the older generation. Grannies always say this kind of thing "don't let a man sleep heavily on top of you"- according to them it flattens the breast. "don't let a man squeeze your breasts"- it softens them, we believe in hard breasts. "don't let a man suck at your nipples"- it enlarges the eorola (sp?) & makes you have white people ugly/engorged nipples. LOL! That's what's taught. Far from being gay, they're very manly to the point of being chauvinists. I guess some see breasts as a child's thing or whatever. During traditional ceremonies many young girls dance around topless & noone acts weird around that cause breasts aren't sexualised like in other parts of the world.
