Any of you have weird eating habits or preferences? for example, after running out of whole milk sometimes I put half-and-half in my cereal... ehehe.
I like putting spicy peanut salad dressing on rice. marinara sauce tastes good on rice too.
After I go to the gym sometimes I make cookie dough out of scratch and eat it... I stir in a bunch of things that taste sweet. my mom hates it.
I put whipped cream on every dessert, even fruit tarts haha. when I eat fruit tarts I eat the fruit first, then scrape the cream off, then eat the pie part.

Okay, I'm weird when it comes to noodles. Back in the day the quality of ramen noodles were different.

If I open a pack and it has that little thicker noodle on the side, it's going in the trash. If it has any straight noodles its trashed. If the noodles don't have perfectly tight waves, or if the waves are a bit loose, then I can't eat them. And I have to eat my noodles in a plastic bowl.

Also, I spend minutes taking that white stuff out of the eggs after I crack them.

I like apple butter, blackberry or strawberry jam mixed into cottage cheese. I eat cottage cheese sandwiches. Real mayo mixed with ketchup to dunk fries in. I like sloppy joe meat with peanut butter. I like plain cereals with no sugar. Just a bit of fruit from time to time.
On the very rare occasion I eat a pop-tart, I'll butter it. Cos it's not Gawd-awful enough calorie wise.
I mix bleu cheese and red french dressing. I will slather peanut butter on a cold pancake and have it as a snack. I heart 'stinky cheese'. Asiago, feta, etc.

Oh c'mon you guyz!!

Step 1: Remove cup from package.
Step 2: Break cup in half!
Step 3: Bite the inside of one half.
Step 4: Bite inside of the other half.

Mission Accomplished!!

No fair the manual I read says breaking something in half gives it a half form meaning a new center. Oreos are a bit different pop them open and lick the cream on the inside. Reeses cup I dunno sounds like your eating the side of each half til you get to the center. Correct me if Im wrong.

Really really Claro? I love peaches and cinnamon with chicken..but I have to try that. 🙂

I will eat that pizza crust Dec..you can't just leave perfectly good crust. LOL @ 'violation of man law'.

It started quite randomly, without preparation. You know when you're feeling like a bit of an animal? Take roast chicken, take strawberries and munch!

Peaches and chicken must be nice too but I never thought to try it with cinnamon. Hmmm ... 🙂

I must try this. I know dates, raisins and apple are dead nice with pork and other beast. 🙂

By using that logic then I merely put the two bitten "crusts" back together, and once again call it whole but centerless!

Weird, slightly true, and pointless 9 times out of 10 you wont be able to piece it back. Not even getting technicial and saying its not together unless you glue it. Our getting more technical and saying your comment is void because that was not described in the steps you mentioned to me and DG. You play cheated, -.- Actually I am going to get technical putting a Resses back together does not make it whole because its not back together no hole for you.

@ArTickLe, One: Chocolate makes wonderful glue, and Two: I'll prove it with a photo later, after I get to work and have had a chance to procure some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!

And, making-up your own rules doesn't equal logic, Hmph! 😄

Okey doke 😛

Eating with spoons when I should be using chopsticks.
Dipping my duck in the sauce.
Mixing Fig Newtons with Chex Mix.
Picking around the chicken.
Licking my tatertots.
Sucking cheese from my 6 inch long Subway sandwhich.
Boiling my cookies into mush.
Dusting my eggroll.

Apple reared pork is yum too. I know it's not the easiest meat to cook but when it's good it's divine!

I just remembered, I'm pretty sure my ex boyfriend's mum cooked me chicken breast with peaches and beer once, it was years ago but not one to be totally forgot. I love having an excuse to cook with beer and wine, hehe. ;p

Hehehehee get it. Ohhhh apple reared pork sounds wonderful. You know, the best pork I've ever eaten were those thick cut chops my friend got at the butcher shop in Reading. He used to be a butcher so he butterflied them for me to prepare for dinner and I made a stuffing for them of apple, raisin, date, bread, butter, bit of nutmeg, cinnamon and onion. It was marvelous. Our hogs are made pretty well indistinguishable by the time they're at market, so it was interesting to me to see that proud stamp ( and a bit of bristle ) still on Mister Oink. That alone is plenty excuse to me to board a plane. 🙂

"Lol@ Mister Oink, aww, but him and his stuffing sounds delish.
I didn't know you had been to Reading in England! I was there for a music festival some years ago.

We do have some good local farmers markets. Are the butchers shops much different in America?"

I spent a week in Reading a couple years ago. It was ( for me ) a magic time. I adored it there. I always smile when I remember what a good feeling it was just being in England. It was on my bucket list.
My mate is a terrific geezer. ( Taurus ) He let me stay at his flat the whole week so I didn't have to bleed out goodness knows how many extra ??s. It was a nice time, just relaxed and chill. Took the train to Camden to the Blues Cafe and saw Seasick ( a late birthday pressie for me ) Steve, walked and walked and walked. Window shopped. I was up on the Eye and saw Westminster Castle. Had a bracelet woven for me from one of the sidewalk hawkers. ( I saved it. And laughed at the haughty look on his face when he gave the man ??1.50 for it ). So many things. Pub of course, Indian of course. His mum took us for an Italian one night. I tramped through the woods while he walked his dog ( who is a fantastic strewer of knickers I might add...every time we went to pub or off to a shop, I'd get back and my clothes were everywhere.. ).
I munched digestive biscuits and drank insane amounts of instant coffee. Had a drunken lady stagger up to me and say "Not even gonna bullshit ya! Can I have a quid for a can of cider?" Saw one poor chap be utterly gutted by some young thing putting him in the friend zone. Another stagger to the back of the tube and vomit.
His pub cronies welcomed me utterly; and wanted me to stay. I would move to England in the blink of an eye if I could. *crossing heart*

Now, as to the butchers shops. Not terribly different. We have good meat here, quality meat. My local butcher since this area is hunting area also deals in venison and other game. Cheeses and spices for rubs. Here though we have everything *searching mind for correct word* not 'cleaner', but more 'cleaned up' for the public eye. You don't associate a cut of meat with the animal. Since I'm a farm kid it pleased me immensely to see those thick cuts with the hairs still stuck to the skin, and that purple stamp on. 🙂 I also found the meat richer to the palate. My friend liked the stuffing too. "Bloody gorgeous!" was his phrase.

whats a fruit tart?

haha

I put the water on for oodles o noodles, add seasoning(save a tinybit), boil, throw in noodles and after a few mins, drain completely. Put pot back on a very low flame, and add butter and a tad bit of mayo and the rest of the seasoning.

Sometimes (note: when lifted :p) I add chunks of cheddar and stir till cheese melts. Can't forget fried franks on the side haha

I like toasted cinnamon raisin bagels with butter and bacon.

I like 2% milk with dinner.

I dont like homemade sauce. Prefer tweaked ragu, any day.

'That's so heartwarming what you said about England, it can be relaxing and magical in its own characteristic way if you can go for a while without responsibilities. The knicker strewer dog and the drunken lady must've been funny .. her lingo def sounds familiar. It's a nice part of England, down where you were. I knew a couple who came up from Swindon and from what they told me about the place, I've always wanted to go there. It's full of magic and covens and trinket shops apparently, which might not be your thing but it gets me off a bit, much in the same way Diagon Alley might.

Still, it's surprising. I'd Love to visit America and I usually imagine over here must look poky and dreary to people from across the pond. Over there seems like a dream, especially Miami and similar places.

I didn't know you were bought up on a farm .. that's great. Also that venison is popular and local in your area. I doubt many supermarkets would sell that around here but I have tried deer through the restaurant route anyway lol. A local Indian called The Thamin! It was rich and tasty, dark like the duck of poultry. It tastes more like an animal, ha.'

LOL Yes, that's just what it's like. Here there are acres and acres of corn, soybeans and other. Deer get nice and fat. In the autumn there are 3 separate choices of destruction in succession. Bow, muzzleloader and firearm. A lot load their freezer up. 🙂
I was in Crowthorne specifically. Reading,Crowthorne,Berkshire to be specific. ( My mate is originally from Manchester, born and reared. His pride in that place and his country is magnificent. ) Those shops you described would definitely be 'my thing'. What impressed upon me and deeply was the history. Everywhere you can feel it, humming along your nerves and zapping you. It's humbling. I was just gobsmacked in the Castle. I looked at my mate, swallowed and said "Kings and Queens were born here..died here. It's just another house to your Liz." Nothing looked poky or dreary to me. Standing there right by the bloody THAMES. It was beyond description. Laying these hands on something that has been there for centuries. Awe inspiring. I was more than welcome there, I felt like I was home. Truly home. My eyes and brain ate everything up like candy.
Yes DO travel if you can manage it. I would absolutely love taking to the air again. No hesitation. —

LOL Ahhh the dog. What a love he is. A huge, slobbering, tyre territorial mushball. My friend kept hollering at him to remove his nose from my person. I just laughed and pushed at him. Boy recognized quality when he ..erm..smelled it.

In part a farm kiddo, yes indeed. My mother and her husband were on a farm for over 30 years. Best place for a kid to be imo. Rabbits, goats, chickens, geese, ducks, a horse. The occasional pig. Go to bed so sore you about wept. But with such a good feeling inside. HUGE garden. Run shrieking with a big fat tomato worm to toss if over the fencing. Haha. GOOD memories.

I used to dunk my morning toast in orange juice. SO good.
Whenever my mom made fried chicken fillets I used to peel off the breaded part and mix it with my mashed potatoes.
I also used to mix ketchup and mashed potatoes.
Basmati rice, french fries and plain yogurt all mixed together, yum!
Curry or bolognaise-type sauces mixed with plain yogurt too.
Instead of using sour cream I use plain yogurt on my baked potato.

...Yea, I had a yogurt fixation as a kid.

Lmao@ the dog knowing quality when he smelled it. 😄 It can be annoying when they won't leave you alone, bless 'em.

I used to dream about living in a big farmhouse, but without quite dreaming about the hard work I don't think. Kids on farms always seemed to have big 4x4's to treck over the surrounding fields on. *Jealous*. I should get one of those one of these days. It shall be on my agenda!

*huge slow smile* Perhaps I was at at that. Stranger things..a cottage in the country. How awfully wonderful that would be.

Yes! Get on one and go wild! 🙂

I don't mind picture quoting. I mind the puking of one image so many times you think you might seizure and pitch forward onto your desk. I'm interested in what people have to say..not tripping over one gif three million times to get to it.

Internet wise pictures and gifs matter I try my best not to quote them or upload a lot of them I imagine you getting thru the "if" threads is a horror. Just a consideration Gots to make sure the queen is happy you cook the food. 😛

I quarter off my food into sections based on type and quantity and always eating any protein last. It helps me count the calories because now I can just eyeball food and know just around how much it's worth. I always eat meats last because I prefer them over everything else on the plate. It also prevents me from bitching out on not finishing the last piece of anything. Knowing that I have two spoonfuls of rice leftover or a couple slices of steak is a lot easier to scarf down than trying to eat an entire mess of shit slopped all over the place. Food psychology 101.
