My father is actually big into this. From what I've seen of his research I am the product of a world orgy. He tracked ancestors back several hundred years. I have good chunks (10% +) of French, English, and Native American. Once ancestors started coming to America, the blood got mixed with every type of settler (and a few natives) imaginable. I have ancestors who were slaves and others who owned them. I have every skin color represented. Some were artists, some were fighters, one was an "official photographer to the queen".

One good thing is that it takes a lot for me to sun burn, I tan a dark red/brown. When I was younger and outdoors all the time people commented occasionally that I wasn't white haha. I can get a sun burn and literally over night it turns to a tan, unless it was a really bad burn.

Mostly Irish Catholic on my mother's side. They emigrated to New York after the famine. Little bit of French and Dutch on her side, as well.

My dad's side is a bit harder to trace. All I know is his dad was African American, from Alabama. I know my great great grandparents were slaves there. My grandmother is Jamaican and Bajan.
