A great movie. It's a remake, the original had Dustin Hoffman, but it's a really really good remake. The scenery, the rawness, the make it out at all costs mentality that runs throughout the movie....
Based on a true story, which is even better and almost unbelievable.

I liked it, it obviously partially plagiarized that (newest i think) Emily Blunt movie (horror + sensory deprivation concept) but i found it better, scarier, more psychotic with the hidden evil instead of weird legs with jaws that kill like in Emily Blunt's movie.

I went to see it in the theatre. It was the first musical comedy I watched. First 20 minutes, I wanted to get up and leave. Gradually, it became quite interesting, and I stayed, overall not bad. I liked it. Realistic ending.

Robin Hood (2018)
Fairly okay, the kick is at the end when you connect the dots on the hidden meaning of the movie. For the whole time i thought it was weird, the scenery, clothes and some expressions.
Scenery, one of the scenes shortly after the beginning was of Christian troops fighting Muslim troops in Jerusalem. But the whole set-up of the scene looked like it was portraying a squad of modern day US soldiers in Iraq, the formation, the covering movement, their expressions...even the war torn buildings looked like a scene from Youtube Syria clips. When they got overwhelmed they called in a barrage of catapult shots, just like modern day soldiers do with artillery guns. One of the scenes was that squad vs. a Muslim gunner in a lookout tower manning a automatic ballista. Straight out of WWII movies, just replace the Muslim dude with a German soldier.
Even the fact they're portrayed as archers in close combat (a no go, you want a knife or something short in confined spaces) it was done like that so that the arrows of the enemies missing the protagonists would appear like bullet shots ricocheting as done modern special effects software.
The scenery, particularly in the affluent areas pictured later in the movie didn't even try to be authentic mideval but rather a modern take on mideval. The clothes also, example, sheriff of Nottingham:
So, i "got" the movie at the end, in a scene in which the miners taxed to death by the sheriff rise up and you realize everything was setup to mimic modern day, the sheriff is the oppressive government squeezing tax, the miners are the antifa thugs/revolutionaries.

Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury nailed the pzazz and body language, the only problem i have is that he is naturally more a Mick Jagger face type.
As for Queen, well, what a fucking show that must have been when it was on omg lol, id go see that today tbh
The song after which the movie is named, has a 30ish second rock segment thats hall of fame worthy because its pure unadulterated power trip. So sad its so short and the rest is experimental.... that doesnt really deliver, for me personally at least.
