First Class ....

Today was my first day teaching, and it when great. It was kind of strange and I was sort of nervous ... but then everybody started to relax and it went smoothly.

However, I can already tell that I'm going to lose a couple people, for they looked completely lost. Is it normal for several people to drop out right at the beginning?

I've never taught before .. this feels so weird. 😛

I don't think it's unusual for people to look bored at the beginning of a class, as it's mostly induction type stuff. It takes some people a couple of days to settle for a start and then of course start getting into the real nitty gritty of the subject/course.

I'm sure it will go swimmingly. 🙂

You guys are probably right ... I'm not sure why people would think that income tax accounting is an easy fill-in to gain credits, though. If this is the case, then they are in for a surprise.

It's really complex ... wait until we get to depreciations and the numerous tables when dealing with property basis and declining balances ... they'll probably start dropping like flies, lol

Tonight and Thursdays are night classes .. days on Mon, Wed & Fri.

Haffo, it's not kids .. though, I'm probably too much of a perv for adults, also 🙂🙂

Alright, I'm off to class now ..... go teach these people the difference between GI, AGI & TI ..... yay !!!!

Accounting is the most boring profession ever invented. Who would chose to make it a profession is just mind boggling.

I double this. I just don't know how my accounting major friends do it. The careers provide plenty of money, though.

I was thinking they walked because she is straight to the point without sugarcoating anything and like a lot here they cant take her approach! lol

Yes, but, not at the university where the original class was .. now, it's in office.
