Do I know you?

I was at a meeting yesterday with work and TWO people said this to me but I have never met either in my life.

I literally get this ALL THE TIME.

I usually joke and say "yeah you probably recognise me from Crimewatch UK" but honstly it baffles me.

Anyone else experience this?

People don't say it to me... although, I've been known to do it. My thought is that if you frequent the same place, it may just be the familiarity of someone who also frequents the same place and at some point it clicks that somehow you must know the person, if that makes sense. I think this is possible if having only seen someone once as well, not that you necessarily noticed them in a cognitive sense the first time, but when you see them again it registers as somehow familiar.

I have actually had that happen twice this week.... one was at a convenience store where a woman
asked what my name was because I looked familiar ......I think she was trying to flirt, and the other
was a guy I hadn't seen in years.... he said I looked familiar and he was right....

He said he was separated from his wife and has custody of his kids.... I wonder what happened but didn't
ask him ..... OMG! You women these days are out of control! Smh....

That's just it though it literally doesn't matter where I am I get it regardless. I mean I moved to a new city just a few months ago and started a new job not long before that and have been getting it more than ever.

I must just have one of those faces!

OMG yes...ALL the time, i hear this...my reaction depends on if it's the 'good' fish or the 'bad' fish that day...lol it can be as simple as:

you look familiar, i know you from somewhere...

'is that good or bad?? lol'

to:

'oh, that's right...i know you from, um...gee, i'm really pressed for time! sorry'

or even:

'no you dont! (as i look way and briskly walk by)...lol

it's fun being a pisces sun, aquarius mercury and cancer rising...
