My Brother

I lost my big brother, my mentor, my partner-in-crime, my hero, my protector, my first best friend, the person who instilled a love of music in me. Words cannot describe the hole that's been left in my heart.

So sorry for your loss. There is a beautiful album just released by Jhene Aiko called TRIP. She lost her brother to cancer in 2012. And finally healed through writing an album about him. It's beautiful. Maybe you could check it out sometime if youre in to that type of music. I listened to it 10 times and counting already.

Thank you for the comforting words, it's really appreciated. I'm not sure that I ever realized until now how comforting a hug and a "are you okay?" can be, and how thankful I am for the great friends in my life...

Definitely going to check this out @WaterDevil, music has always been therapeutic for me. I've been listening to Radiohead non-stop since he passed, my obsessive tendencies have kicked in. There's something so soothing about Thom Yorke's voice to me...

Thanks Enoch... Always expected my parents to go before a sibling, but I guess the universe had other ideas. It was sudden and unexpected and one of those situations where you know it was just that person's time to go.

I'm sorry for your loss love. when we don't expect someone to die there's always this feeling of "How did this happen this can't be real, this is not the order of things."

You're so much stronger than you may realize simply because you are able to confront and share this, essentially with strangers, during this challenging time. There's essentially nothing I can say to make you feel any better; however, I do wish you the best during this time of adversity nonetheless.

I know how sad it 's to lose a brother... Specially when you don't expect it.

Just take one day at a time and concentrate in all the good memories you enjoyed together....🤗
