Everyone knows that there are two kinds of Pisces, the 'light' ones and the 'dark' ones. The light ones are full of grace and acceptance of their lives while the dark ones are in a wretched state of dissonance. I think this duality is embodied very well In Billy Corgan (light pisces) and Kurt Cobain (dark Pisces). Which one are you? I myself seem to switch between the two. As of lately I seem to live out the greater portion of my life being wretched but when ever I do get happy I am so happy that inspires me to go through all of the wretchedness.

I know you're trying to make this about pisces, but man, everyone has a light and dark side. It's usually balanced, too. Rarely do you see people who are on the extremes. Some people are super nice but little do people know they go home and drink their nights away. The loser who tries to ruin your day at work goes home and loves his/her family. It's human to be multifaceted and unless a person has a mental disorder (see Kurt Cobain) or some other factor, they're going to fit into both categories almost equally.

I compare Pisces to Gemini when it comes to light and darkness and black and white. But one of my Pisces friends would probably be the light kind, even though he is a wannabe gangsta. 😄

Can you explain the comparison? I am curious. 🙂

Having two sides of course. Gemini have twins, Pisces has two fish chasing after each other in a circle and they have a light dark side as well. That's my two cents

Love the Smashing Pumpkins but Billy Corgan is an extreme narcissist, which is not surprising really given he's a rocker. A good friend met him at a party and he kept looking at himself in a full view mirror and constantly readjusted his shirt. I don't expect my rockers to be role models. Just saying, not sure Billy is a good example of the "good pisces." I'm team Cobain. He was the truly deep Pisces.

I think all fish have both sides, we just develop tendencies and begin leaning toward one of the two. I feel like I've been both over the course of my life, but I'd like to think that it's best to try and cultivate balance between the two.

+1

I believe that we Pisceans have a bad rap.

There is a side of me that is consistently generous and gracious with good people....

But...

There is a side of me that surfaces whenever the assholes start shoving people around....

.....And no one likes to see that side for long because I am inclined to introduce such people to a glass display case THE HARD WAY....

If you want to know why I think Billy is a 'light' Pisces simply listen to "Hummer" off the Siamese Dream album. No demon in the universe can stand up to the guitar solo in that song. There is a kind of affirmation of existence in that song that is of the highest level of grace, something that Cobain was never able to deliver.

"Rocket" is my favorite song from Siamese Dream, as "All Apologies" is my favorite Nirvana song.

Dear Lady, I will not deny nor do I dispute your friend's testimony.

However, at the same time, I cannot discount or forget when the Smashing Pumpkins literally did a world tour for Ava Adore and donated 100% of the generated ticket revenue to the Make A Wish Foundation, an organization dedicated to terminally ill children. The grand total given was over 2.8 million dollars according to the source.

I was at their Atlanta concert that year, and saw Billy (on stage) give the proceeds from that concert to the Atlanta chapter representative for the children there.

Should pick your brain for more good music Nem! And I'm good! Doing gooood.

I can't really disagree with Corgan being the 'light pisces' but in some cases I feel (like the quotes) he was only able to write and compose given the darkness and that's very similar to Kobain but seemingly he's accepted the darkness but through that he shone.

In my circle I've had the pleasure to meet both of the archetypes and the only similarity I find is both of them feel and see what is beyond them that could drive them into despair or pure joy.

@Scorpiofish yes i fell in love i and we spent 6 months together but i was turned off by him counting his pennies all the time. however that strange attraction continued for many years. i failed in all aspects of my life so he makes fun of me now as i was the one who "dumped" him and he went through suffer for about 1 year or so. i did inspire him to start doing internal martial arts which he turned into a life time hobby and currently he s excellent at chi sex( sex with out ejaculation) or shall i say tantra. of course i know that from other sources.i am sag . sometimes pisces are too obsessed with their object of desire. now that i rememeber... he kept on coming back for few years . he even became somewhat agressive in invading my home at the time. the more he did that the less i liked him. i valued my privacy a lot. keep in mind i was 21 he was 23 when we met. i was very immature about what man i would want. technically i did not even want a man. i kept on falling in love with strangers stopping them on the street going out with them... to realize i did a mistake again. i was very very immature... sounnds familiar? and yes... i was popular... so now i look back and i see how i have missed on quality men... it is too late:/ to go back. i just used to fall in love ... too much. and think this is the man... and i used to ignore hte ones who truly were interested in me... going after me... with serious offers. Currently i am communicating with a pisces man online but my younger cancer friend still haunts me. He made me realize that everyone else was an asshole in my life, even the pisces man as he was not correct in his behaviours at the time. Now he s married to a french older woman , a sag, and they live in france a very satisfying life. He does go out with other women though a lot. did i say i was a sag... i m tired being a sag...very tired.:///

Wow, Aqua, that is something else to read.

So while you were young, you believe that he was very good for you and you feel as though you took him for granted with the expectation that there are lots of good men out there and you can have any one you want?

And you feel as though it was a mistake to be with men you didn't feel anything warm with, in terms of love, affection and devotion? Yet the Pisces man was willing to give you this? Hmm, sounds very familiar indeed.

What were the Pisces man (t

What were the Pisces man (that you loved) behaviors that were not correct at the time? Did he say or do something that was awful? I totally agree with you about him breaking into your house and going around in it. That is nuts. He must have really felt something for you, but he totally addressed it wrong.

See, with the Cancer that I used to want to be with....

I haven't done anything extreme like your Pisces did, but yet was made to feel as though I did.

We texted each other back and forth, and spent time together at church. She flaked out on some dates with me and then gave me the brush off. I backed off, and stayed away. Then she basically flirted with me again, and I tried calling her two times over 5 days to invite her out to restaurants with our friends and stuff. She then deleted me from FB altogether, but then spent the next Tuesday staring at me all night since she left me no choice but to ignore her. Just awful, since we have a lot of important things in sync with each other. I sense that she is very confused, as to what she wants. On the one hand, she knows I am a good guy and that I am good for her. On the other, she is one of those girls who says "I want to see Paris, Australia, and so forth." Problem is that she won't simply acknowledge me as someone she could do those things with, instead of do them alone.

Oh well.

Sonically speaking, I agree with you. Great song. I love the GROOVE that's signature Smashing Pumpkins. They were definitely on the lighter side to Nirvana. I'm a guitar hero fan and while I love the guitar riff and solo on Hummer, man are you really trying to say it out rivals Jeff Beck or Eric Clapton or Joe Satriani or John Petrucci?

Now for me, this guitar playing KICKS ASS.

Well no I actually wasn't saying that it out rivals those guys, but listen honey, ill tell you that if you really want to hear good guitar playing turn down the Clapton and turn up ACDC.

LOL. I'm not sure about that but I love AC/DC. Ball's to the Wall & Back in Black kick ass. Clapton's generally going for a different groove. Takes all kinds of music to make up my soundtrack. Peace out.
