ONLY FOR PISCES-
I've only went back to an ex one time. That was because I felt like there was unfinished business and felt the relationship fell apart because of miscommunication and we were at different points in our lives.
I wouldn't go back to any of my exes now, but there is one person I used to date unofficially that I would give another shot, but they'd have a lot to prove to me first.
I think to answer your question, I wouldn't go back to an ex. Once the damage is done, it's done.
By the time I leave they have inflicted such a damage that it is beyond my ability to forgive and forget, so no, I never go back.
I have only done that once and it was after I left him and we had matured and things were very different. I felt the relationship wasn’t finished and that I could give him a second chance.
In general I could go back to an ex if he had never hurt me (very important), he was very different and it was me that had finished the relationship.

I'd go back to an ex probably only after some years have passed and both of us have changed, if the reasons for the breakup in the first place aren't there anymore and if they hadn't previously hurt me badly, all of this assuming that I still feel attracted to that person.
I have a Scorpio ex who I have cut contact with after breakup 2 years ago, and recently she started being on my mind more and more and I ended up contacting her again. I realized all the reasons why we broke up in the first place and the fact that she changed a bit but for the worse. So I probably wouldn't go back to her, ever.
I've heard that Pisces+Scorpio is one of the best matches, but unfortunately, that Scorp ex cheated on me and lied, stabbed me in the back and made me avoid all Scorpios. I don't hate Scorpios, on the contrary, but I'm just scared that the same thing will happen again..

I dont remember any instance in my entire life that i have gone back to an ex.. i dont know abt my other pisces friends here but me being a pisces myself, i will give a lot and literally a lot, all my love, time, effort and spend money if need be to a relationship but when things starts falling apart, and i felt like im the only one fighting to keep it together, and im feeling underappreciated, unwanted and unlove already, then that’s it! If its going downhill then thats the time i pack my things up, go and never look back.. so far, no matter how my ex’s had tried getting back with me, i never return. It’s like for me, i’ve already experienced what i experienced w/ this individual may them be good or bad. So that’s it for me.. dont wanna go back and experience the same things over again..

I have never went back to an ex, and I never will. Why waste the time? It didnt work the first time. Do ypu think its magically going to fix its self the second time?
Real answer I WILL never and I mean NEVER take an ex back unless I’m in love with them . If we were just dating and it ended honestly I see no reason to waste my time again unless I’m deep in love
