If you don't vote, you are essentially giving power over to other people to decide for you who is going to be affecting your life. You also lose your privilege to bitch about leaders and politics since you didn't vote. Why should you have any say to complain about them when you didn't vote to make your voice heard?

U cant see how the act of not participating is a strong political movement in itself?

to what end?

It's too fresh to think about ends. U should be contemplating beginnings

ok cool, i'm genuinely curious, to what beginning? as in abandoning the voting system for good?

I am a man of few words. Especially when it comes to typing on my phone lol

But to answer your second question, I think voting can be an integral part of a "healthy" society.

Now is the time to act, not vote.

If someone is not a voter then why even speak on it? do and not vote? Voting is an important part of "doing". Actually influencing things politically. Nobody not the candidates nor voters are interested in people who are supposedly not interested in voting...talking about voting. The people with enough sense to vote will and the ones who dont will remain irrelevant to the process. This is one of those things where...I dont know why some people get into the over thinking and getting things so far from where they are thing but voting is simple and a simple concept. All the "going to Mars" so to speak with things is useless. But people arent impressed with nonvoters nor do they too much think about them I dont think. As long as people do their part and vote its a freeing and empowering feeling I have come to find. There are different reasons some people dont vote some more understandable than others but in the end its losing Nobody is interested in nonvoters bs.

Sorry but the way you write doesn't peek my interest. When I'm reading your position all I hear are a bunch of words mashed together without any real thought provoking or life changing ideas. You continue to vote & I won't. We are on opposite sides of the checker board, because you definitely aren't skilled enough to play chess if u believe the shit u write. Good luck voting, I hope ur dreams come true

Whatever man. I speak to level of the the audience (you). You asked a question. Your not even smart enough to grasp the importance of voting vs forfeiting your voice. And fine others such as myself will use it for you. You talk about voting even though you dont vote and are irrelevant to the process. People with enough sense think you are not very smart or practical or interesting. Useless to the voting process and irrelevant. Get it since... you asked and all? I didnt imagine that you asked right? Cut the clown sht.

I think they're lazy moronic individuals who don't understand how lucky they are to be able to participate in a democracy or ignorant conspiracy theorists.

I shouldn't expect anything less from you. Your ideals change with the tide.

excuse me? I am pro-voting. always have been.

777 explain yourself?

I'm just hear to sprinkle a little salt on ur wounds. The only people who are owed any kind of explanation are ur comrades. Everyone else doesn't need to know anything more than what they already know. U asking me this question is representation of your conditioning.

I don't agree with the current voting system. I don't like the idea that - "everyone has the right to vote by default (starting from a certain age just for being born human)". Don't get me wrong. I'm not against human rights - but to me it seems more logical "to earn the right to vote". To pass a specific exam (starting with a Psychological evaluation - and followed by History, Economics, Leadership and Management, Entrepreneurship, Sociology - to name a few) - and earn a license to vote. Not everyone will pass ofc. Nor would they care to be "voters". And that's just it - you should be able to earn that right (prove yourself "capable") - if you truly have an interest in the present and the future of your country. And same goes for candidates. For start they should have a voting license - where they achieved the maximum score (top of their class), but also - at least a decade of experience and multiple achievements (well deserved ofc). Also, presidential campaigns - should be a thing of the past (even deemed as illegal). Such political propaganda meant to pursued and trick the potential voters - wouldn't work anyway - "if the voters are thoroughly educated (understand what they're voting and who they're voting for)".

Not like now - where the majority of voters are very naive and quite unconscious/ignorant in terms of politics. While the candidates are puppets or clowns. And thus - the outcome is dictated by political campaigns and brainwashing techniques (similar to those used in marketing).

Unless the system changes - i refuse to take part in this masquerade.

So you prefer dictatorships?

Dictatorship is exactly the opposite of what i said above. 🙄

As in... voting should be a thing - only for those who earn that right by proving to be sane, smart and wise enough - to understand what they're doing and who they're voting. Basically, some of the smartest people of a society - voting for those who prove themselves to be among the wisest for that position. And thus the one elected - should be among the most capable at serving the interests of a society. You still need democracy for that to be possible - since the one elected would be just a symbol of power - a representative of that country.

On the other hand - dictatorship is anti-democratic (again, on the opposite side of the spectrum). Even more than that... most dictators seem to have a god complex - since they demand and expect absolute authority over a country. And usually, they end-up in that position by force (and maintain their authority through fear and oppression + a touch of charm). It's also quite common for Dictators to hate intellectuals (the smart and wise). A mutual hate since those are among the few who risk their lives to stand-up against dictatorship - by point out the truth of matters.
