Unless you are a very rich kid who doesn't have to work for the rest of life.

What the hell does this mean?

Are you implying that money can buy love? And you even got likes, so that means there are more of you who think money can buy love.

How fucking bizarre !!!!!

I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic or serious.

I stated in my comment that it is physically impossible to have a honeymoon which lasts for the rest of your life without being rich. I mean, who's going to make the money?

wtf? ....

The conversation is about a state of mind, or more accurately, a state of relating ..... not an actual honeymoon, where two people are off on a romantic vacation.

I can't believe you're serious ... did you just crawl out from under a rock?

Is it possible?

What aspects in synastry could help this?

Have you ever had a relationship like this?
Isn't that the "ideal" relationship? That relationship you see on the Hallmark channel?

I think everyone wants that type or relationship. I know I do. However, I'm gonna be pessimistic for a second and say that it will never happen for me.

I had it for 6 months.
I believe for lots of people, there is a shelf life for this kind of phase in a relationship

Maybe that is why so many people go off and have affairs, to recapture that feeling....?

I think you're exactly right

Familiarity can at times breed contempt.....if I ever choose to have a relationship again, we will have separate houses. The domestic thing can kill the romantic side of the relationship. I like the saying *absence makes the heart grow fonder*

🙂

Yea, that wouldn't fly with me! I gotta have my woman close to me
Makes it more exciting with a little distance ... 🙂

While dating, sure! Once I have my prize, nope.

From my observations, it seems women are the ones that want to live separately.

Of course they do. They want that freedom and independence. Yet, wonder why guys refuse to put forth effort anymore or commit

Not so much freedom with the ones I have met.....more like not wanting to be burdened with the domestic stuff....especially after raising children. I have known women say they don't want to be minding a man after experiencing the constant nurturing of motherhood, which can be very tiring

That's having a booty call, imo.

Really? I know women who have monogamous rships with men for years but don't live together.....how can that be classed as a booty call just because they choose separate living quarters?

People have always commented that my wife and I always seem to be in a honeymoon phase since we can be really uhm too affectionate in public lol, makes people barf. They're surprised when they find out we've been married for years. It's not that we don't have petty arguments sometimes but we're mostly very.. icky sweet lol.

It's probably coz we're very tactile.

Touch and subsequent oxytocin are key for making relationships last.

There have been studies on this.

There are even some couples that abstain from sex but cuddle every night that are as happy as they were the first time they started dating years ..often decades prior.

Oxytocin is the bonding/connectedness chemical.

Love can die many times in a relationship, only to be reborn. But it can never be restored
I think it can be and is often restored but just in a different form.

You can still love someone as much as you did in the beginning of the relationship but the passion may not be there. It doesn't mean you love them less. You just don't crave them anymore.

"Love" or specifically those chemicals that are released when one thinks they are in love ......result in us craving more contact with that person ....in essence they become our drug.

If the honeymoon phase lasted indefinitely nothing would ever get done.

I know I definitely couldn't be a responsible parent or be the best at my job if I were that obsessed with someone all of the time.

It's destructive.
