I am not sure if relationships are meant to be confusing or not.... I have tried to approach men first at times and it didn't work out well.

I am 20, must admit that the past year I had been a bit down and stayed a lot at home.

So I have heard a lot of times.... Love comes when you least expect it.... In the beginning I didn't believe that and thought that I had to do actively something to bring it to my life..... I am a bit of control freak needless to say.

So my new approach is probably to really let go and just follow my everyday life and have fun and meet people and see how it goes from there.

I am more of an introvert too and a little frustrated on the topic.

So whats your advice?

Best thing I've found is to connect with people from your day to day classes, even the same gender. Your schedules/struggles will be similar, so this way you are building rapport and even friendships- these people will introduce you to a wider range of a social circle, and it just builds from there. If you have a job while going to uni, you'll most likely also meet people in similar situations also.

Personally, I only joined clubs that I knew would boost my resume or I had a passion for, like sports or representing my school/program, but these clubs I didn't use to socialize a lot outside of school, because most of the others did the same. They are focused and you can very easily get stuck in a rut of people that you may not have anything in common with, other than academic and future success, and they leave no room for individuality at times. But this is not the same for everyone.

I have thought of that actually but at this time of the year most clubs have already start their programs. I also have a lot of female friends but no guy friends at all. In my department we are 120 girls and around 25 boys... Just imagine xD
