Could you date someone with different political views?

See I agree with both of you and that's the issue is it's hard to tell what someone truly believes until you're with them for a little bit because also you could have someone Who doesn't even really believe what they say so is a toss up. I agree I feel like I could date someone as long as they didn't pressure me and as long as it wasn't something that was extremely moral that I didn't agree with but at the same time I would have to screen them a lot to decide if I really wanted to be with them and is that really worth the headache ?

No. Because political views tend to be an extension of personal values. It's impossible to have a future with someone whose values doesn't coincide with mine. Plus, I find that most people with views opposite of mine don't respect my opinion or try to belittle it. Nah.

Pisces sun/Virgo moon/Aquarius Mercury
I agree with you to SOME extent...

it's how my mother in law and father in law got together, they fought for the same political views and went to college together in the same classes.

but in their personal life, they can't stand eachother.

sometimes, it's wayyyyyy deeper than that.

Yes, because I am seeing a Libra and he said, "I will not vote this year". I told him, "OMG, you HAVE to vote! If you don't DUMP THE TRUMP will win!". I am having him see the DVR of the Presidential Debate a couple of weeks ago, we watch World News Tonight, etc. Why, just last night on the latter DUMP THE TRUMP admitted he had not paid his taxes for 27 years. My "guy" heard about this when he arrived to my home and I sat him on my living room couch; since we talk allot about different issues to include, religion, politics, family, exes, etc.! I CANNOT have him vote for Hillary Clinton nor the 3rd party (on the ballot), nor DUMP THE TRUMP, but that is better than NOT voting at all!!! So I am hoping whoever he "chooses" to vote for he will stand in line, show his voter's registration card, and vote!!!!

🤗 cyber hugs!

Love,

Eva

No. I couldn't. Sun Scorp, Moon Pisces, Merc Sag.

I've dated and been in relationships with people of different political views and of different religions. It just doesn't work for me. I look back on it now and realised it's just too different. It created too much tension, big conflicts, and too much drama. I think it depends on how important politics (and religion) is to somebody. If it's not a big thing then it might be less of a big thing in your relationship.
