Did you end up marrying someone from your hometown after moving away?

So my high school sweet heart is a Gemini man with cancer moon. We have known eachother for about 5 years. We dated for about a year until I went to college and broke up my Freshman year of college...but we always seem to drift back to each other after floating away for awhile (in true mutable sign form). It's crazy bc I moved away from our hometown when I went to college and he still lived there, but we always seemed to keep in touch and find eachother. We both have had other relationships too. Well, now the Gemini man is talking about marriage and even though we aren't together and are just friends he seems to think that we will eventually end up marrying eachother. He said that he heard some kind of statistic that said by a certain age a person has already met the one who they will marry. Idk about that and honestly the thought of marriage still kind of freaks me out lol but I'm just curious to see if this is true.
