for me relationship is a relationship when both sides think of the other person as their 'partner'. when you share special things with the person, and this can include personal things, special moments etc.
dating is that 'getting to know phase' where the two are trying to decide whether the other person suits him/her.
yes, even if it is not official, and even if it's still the 'dating period' break up is a break. if two people are not going to hang out, talk or do what they used to do, for whatever reason, i think it is some sort of break up.
wel, these are at least my definitions of the above mentioned things. 🙂
All interactions with another person is some form of relationship. Like "love" there can be no definitive answer since every person has their own perspective.
The only problem I see with this mindset is the approach .... if handled without "falling" away from yourself and onto them, then there'd never be an emotional injury of any kind, only a chalking up to experiencing another life event.
If it is not a breakup with the other person it is with yourself for what you expected and never received or what you thought was but wasn't. You can break your own heart......

What is dating? Is it talking/getting to know each other/not serious yet or in a committed relationship?
Is it really a break-up if you were never official?
