I have never cared about VD but what annoys me most are single people who act is if they either don't care or actually care too much and get annoyed badly. When annoyed they want to celebrate VD with their friends and families and tell the whole world that they enjoy being single and eating Pizza. lol

I have known girls who got offended because they didn't get a Happy VD text from their friends. Seriously? Do they feel any better if their friends wished them a Happy VD considering they are still single the next day?

To me VD should be only celebrated by couples and people who are about to get together or confess their romantic feelings. If that was the case then VD would be less of a hallmark holiday.

Some people say VD is about every kind of love which I think is bs. If so then what is Christmas for? I have never received a VD message by a guy and if I ever did, I would never talk to this guy again. Stop bitching and accept that VD should be about romantic love only. Other than that it would be just a ...... hallmark holiday.
Is this an American thing because in the UK it's a couples thing. It's about romance.

Americans will spin it out as far as they can to make it as lucrative as possible ?

I guess it is.

I also think it's cruel when americans force their children to give other children presents or cards, even when they dislike each other. ^^

it really isn't a big deal here in Europe. it's not a national holiday for us either.

mother's day and father's day isn't a holiday for us either and I think it's nice, but not really needed.

but my man still brought home some sushi for me. He got sushi and Japanese food from work after his meeting.

I like it. I grew up associating it with both friendship and romance and that's what I continue to feel and think about it.

Hallowe'en and Valentine's Day are my favourites.
Halloween is a huge deal or there isn't it. I've noticed UK is getting more like America with that now.

Unless you're not American and you just love Halloween lol

I'm Canadian. 🙂 It maybe isn't as big of a deal here than in the US, but it's definitely celebrated.

I can't wait for it to be Valentines Day again.
lol

I think this forum is very Venusian and united states.. lmao

it really loves the valentines stuff. and that's from the united states.

I like Halloween but we don't celebrate Halloween much here at all either. but I still like the concept.

we obviously don't celebrate thanksgiving.

but people from the U.S, have asked me if we have turkey on thanksgiving. honestly they have.
