If you cheated on your bf/gf, would you stay with them or would you ever consider breaking up with them for the person that you cheated on them with? What does it depend on?

Depends on your relationships with both.
If your happy with the person you are with, and cheating on them was just a mistake, then stay with them. But still tell them what you've done, if they leave you, then obviously it would not have worked out.
But if you liked the person you cheated with, its hard to say. For one thing, if the cheater knew you were with somebody already and did well...whatever to you regardless of that fact, they probably aren't the kind of person you want to be with. Making a person cheat when you know their with somebody else is a stupid thing to do.
And if you do in fact like the person you cheated with more than the person your currently with, there are still multiple decisions.
One is that if your still fairly happy with your current lover, stick with them till it ends, then go with the person you cheated on them with. (Though to me it sounds stupid, you never know)
If you hate your current lover, for whatever reason, then you could make an effort to fix you relationship or break up with them. Then do whatever, because your free.
Besides those options there are others, you could simply forget about both entirely, and erase them from your life, or you could try being with one as a lover, and the other just as a friend.
